I got this sweet little mushroom hoop today from Mommy The Maid

Sorry it is such a crappy pic. I got a battery charger for my camera for Christmas. But the battery didn't fit. Go figure.  Undecided
I love it though, and check out what I did for a personal swap with her! https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=369383.0

You know I am a big fan of asian inspired designs--and red and black are my favorite color combo...nice shadow work...and so tiny in your hand!

it actually would have been tinier.  lol.  I bought one of those hoops like the one that was used for the platypus and I was using some of the cloth robin sent me, but I was going cross-eyed trying to do the black in tiny stitches.  >_<  so I figured I'd use some of the red I had.  Smiley  I will use that cloth, robin.  I just don't plan on using dark colors with it.  Cheesy

and RuuSuu, I'm totally jealous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I want both of these Big Bang hoops!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will swap for ceramic bisque steer skulls!
Always in need of things like these!!!
Found another soup of acrylic, seed, glass, wood, polymer, metal, and shell beads!  PM me if you want to swap!!
LOTS of fabric available too!!

More awesome hoops!!  Love it!  I, too, am running out of adjectives Smiley  Gonna be away starting this evening for the weekend, medieval faire this weekend and next.  Will be back in here again on Monday sometime...hopefully blue_lalita will have her hoop around then, too....though I doubt it with all this snow and ice clogging up the mail delivery everywhere, and even though she's in WA, I'm in FL, so the package has to travel thru a bit of it to get to where it needs to go.

I returned home from my first day of classes to find this lovely hoop in my mailbox from Kaytea4!!

It's a gorgeous pocket-watch with lots of little tiny gear details, some of which are done in metallic floss, which I daren't touch just yet for fear of angering the embroidery gods with my ineptitude.

And a closer shot.

I can't fathom how she made such little roman numerals, and they are all perfectly straight!!

Thank you so much Kaytea4!! I will hang it as soon as I paint, which unfortunately is a ways off. But until then, I plan to give it a place of pride in my cabinet of awesome and show it off to all my friends, even if they do roll their eyes at me!!  Wink

All the other hoops are spectacular! I found it very difficult today to not compulsively check the gallery while in class...

I find that crafts are very good time wasters. If they aren't for you, then you are one of those rare individuals who know what you're doing!
