The first small purse I've made!  It's about 12 inches along the bottom, and 6 inches up the side. About 3 inches deep at the base. I haven't done a bag this small before, but it's a gift for someone.

It's black duck cloth on the outside with bright green thread and a matching zipper.

The bright green zipper matches this:

The inside!  The person that the bag is for chose this bright green cloth and asked me to make something--anything--for them out of it. So I chose to make the lining for this out of it. There are two small pockets on the inside as well. The green lining lines the pockets on the front and on each side of the bag as well.

What a wonderful bag! I'm sure your friend is going to love it. I think pairing that bright fabric with the black was a great idea. The green thread really stands out and looks fantastic. Love all the pockets too Smiley.

That is really cool! I have never thought of using a contrasting thread color. It came out great and your stitching is so nice and straight.
