That skirt is very pretty. I like the dots with the flowers together.

And yes, Smarties are sort of like a flatter m&m.

That skirt is really cute! I love that you can make yourself cute maternity clothes - some (okay, all) of the stuff I wore way back when I was pregnant were pretty horrid!

I finally have some things to post! My daughter and I had a craft challenge yesterday where we pull out random items from our stash and the other person has to make something from them.

The first item was a film in a blue canister... (which we got for a penny each at SCRAP!)

For the film I made a bow (actually had to use two of the canisters to have enough for the bow):

I made the canisters into fun little gift or change boxes (I was thinking of the first as a parking monster, but she really turned out too cute):

The next item I selected was an old thread spool. I didn't really have a plan for it and it turned into an ornament of some sort:

I also finally took pictures of a necklace I made a couple of weeks back that I really like. I posted about it here but here is one of the pictures of it:

The ornament is very cool. I'd put it on my Christmas tree  Wink

That's a neat idea DawnsTrees! I love the spool ornament, and the film bow!

I got a few more thing accomplished this week  Smiley (I think I'm frantically trying to get craft time in before school starts and that all goes away  Cry).

The aforementioned dyeing experiments! This is my first time playing around with koolaid microwave dyeing, and after reading a bunch of stuff I was very surprised at how simple it all really is when you get down to it.

This was my very first attempt which turned out pretty nice - I was trying to go for a variegated orange to yellow look which worked out sort of. The yellow koolaid really doesn't dye too brightly, at least when I did it, but the natural color of the yarn was a cream so it turned out ok anyway. I call this "Cheeto Dust" haha.

Then a few days later after I picked up a bunch more colors I did a few more. More of the cheeto dust variety and then some other odd color experiements. The bottom two are so-so, I was nervous about putting in too much color but I might just overdye them later since they're not too bright. But I do love the 2nd from the top - it reminds me of watermelon or something like that.

Last thing I have for now is a hoopla I made for my blog giveaway! It's kind of made up, based off of Cate Anevski's face embroideries - I took a bunch of different elements (eyes, hair, nose, mouth) and mishmashed them together to come up with this.

I like the last yarn. Pretty colors. The hoopla is adorable too.

LOVE that film bow!!!  What a great idea!!  And I'd totally rock that spool ornament on my tree...hmmm...I have a large white-washed wooden thread spool staring me in the face right now....better save it!

Hell, I'd wear that skirt NOW and I'm not even pregnant!  Love the pleats!

I actually really like the bottom 2 yarns, sB, but maybe the photo is showing them to me as brighter than they really are?

OMG!  I NEED to do some damn crafts, I haven't hardly TOUCHED craft supplies in over a week Cry  I'm going thru withdrawal Cry  Cheesy

Wow, I've missed so much. I'm always amazed by the incredible talent in this thread!

After a little crafty hiatus, I'm finally back with finished projects! And, a few new projects to add to my list. Here we go:

The Little House of Horrors for Halloween! Finally finished!:

And here's the post:

Agenda cover!:

And here's the post:

New projects:

Pop Tab bracelet:

Bracelets from a cassette tape and an 8-track tape:

I also made a dinosaur "field guide" and a set of memory cards for my nephew's birthday using the field guide printables from Dinosaur Train's web site. They're laminated, so I can't get pictures to save my life! But, I'm happy they're finished!

Ok - so - here goes...  I've done crafts...  and I swear I'll post pictures!  As soon as my swap partners receive...  which in the case of the Mini 13 days of Halloween swap, won't be until October sometime.  URG!

I've done 4 projects for the mini 13 days of Halloween swap.

This is a link to the hoop I made from r0ck0n in the Ongoing Hoopla swap.  Its a Pysanky egg and even though it turned out a bit more Christmasy than I wanted I'm still happy with it.

I finished another hoop for the Ongoing Hoopla Swap but I haven't sent yet (tomorrow) and I'll post that as soon as she receives it!  Smiley
