Kittymom13 - Craftster is really great an encouraging new obsessions crafts, isn't it?? I've gotten into so many more things since being a part of the community here!

Lots of great finished projects which is inspiring me to finish up these super boring fingerless gloves. I thought I'd have them done last night but I ended up going to bed at an insanely early hour.  Hopefully, I'll have action shots soon.

Thanks to Craftster, I am poorer in money but richer in life...when I worked corporate jobs, I wonder what I did?  Probably vegged in front of the TV from stress...I am a late comer, but I am catching up fast!  I would never have thought that I would be crocheting again (I made slippers when I was 11!)...

But I also think the cold winters have something to do with it...I never knitted or crocheted in Atlanta!

Ok, first project done! It's a pretty simple one, I made a swap journal with collaged covers.

How cute! I always thought about having a swap journal but I wonder if I'd use it as much as I thought I would?

I finished the boring fingerless gloves! (Project #40 on my list!) I've learned two valuable lessons today:  First, enchiladas do not photograph well.  Two, neither do fingerless gloves.





I'm going to wrap them up, write out a card and stick the package in our mailbox for the postman tomorrow. I hope he'll like them!

A dear friend of mine and fellow craftster made me a swap journal when I first joined...it was useful for a while to record tracking numbers, keep track of what I made (in case I got th same person again!), etc. I also had a quick reference for addresses, etc.  Despite all of these good things, I found that I was just scribbling on the PM's...it did not work for my style of dis-organization!

I do love the covers, however--the collage is eye-catching and nicely done!

I think the postman is going to be the envy of his fellow postal workers!  You just gave a great idea of what to make for my male random acts of crafting person! He works at the front cashier by the door and probably could use those to keep most of his hands warm and yet still do his job!

lapoli, that is so sweet of you.  I am sure he will love them.  And they may be "boring" but as a person who appreciates simple lines and dark colors, I think they are lovely!

lapoli - yes, I agree - enchiladas do not photograph well.... I made some here and posted them and well, they look funky but hey, they were mighty tasty. 

I love the fingerless gloves as well - they are just fabulous and I'm super jealous!  I'd love fingerless gloves but don't care for the bulk of crocheted ones and can't physically get to my knitting machine to make some.. maybe that should be on my list - make something - anything! - on my knitting machine or sell the bugger!


kittymom - I'm not a big fan of grannies but yours is extremely eye catching!  It's just an all around fabulous afghan!

I have finished project #2 - sorry no picture as he's for my website.    I'll share after the pattern goes live...  I have started on project #3- another one for the site.  I have to catch up and there are a few things that I want to release this month, getting ready for Valentine's Day next month - does that make sense?  I'm doing pairs of creatures.  Okay. That's all I can say... just pairs of critters.

Yarn or Fabric--I made crochet fingerless gloves using sock yarn and they are lightweight and yummy!! Super quick and easy as well...I used a very small hook so the stitches are nice and tight yet stretchy...I have knitted and crocheted them and I really like the crochet ones the best for me!
