Sorry for opening up a whole can of worms with the casserole discussion!  I have had fun learning more about other parts of the world and their culinary traditions (and linguistics!) but I should probably be a good girl and get back on-topic.

I haven't gotten any projects of my own done over the last few days, that I've had a chance to take pictures of yet.  But I can cross something off my (non-Craftster) to-do list that never made my 50 Projects list - teach 8yo dd to sew.  (I know she still needs more practice, guidance, etc, but there has to be some point at which I decide that's a completed activity!)  I was selected to host the Singer House Party (House Party site, for those who might be lost), and it was yesterday.  We had some other young ladies and their moms come over, and we made simple elastic-waisted skirts.  Now the 3yo wants me to teach her.  Roll Eyes  I told her we'll see about that this summer, but if she's going to use the sewing machine, I need to be able to focus on just her! lol  The girls did great, though. Smiley

That bacon bouquet is awesome!

Yay thanks!!!

It looked so much cooler than I thought it was going to.

and A2JC4life, that party sounds like such a fun and awesome idea!  I'm going to become a big sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters soon... I wonder if my little will want to learn how to sew and craft.  Oh I hope so. Smiley

I'm still here, just been super busy - and not all crafting, I'll have to go back and look at my list to see what still needs to be done.  My third little niece arrived on Thursday, May 5th, so for Christmas she will be getting a bedroom set of her own. I also need to make lots of crafts for an upcoming TOPS event happening in September.

Looking for the free row by row patterns.  If you are able to get me one from your town I will paypal you $2 for postage.

OK, so after seeing the cute dresses aprettymess made, I found the remains of the skirt of a dress I had taken apart and an old tank top that had some annoying oil stains on it that won't come out and 'cut and pasted' to make myself a new dress Smiley

An Old Navy tank top was used for this.  The bottom part that had the couple oil stains on it was used to make the belt, and the stains were able to be turned toward the underside where they can't be seen now Smiley  YAY!

When sewing the dress I fear I stretched the tank top a little too much, so I'm going to have to run it through the wash to get it back to it's original shape Roll Eyes  All in all, I'm pleased with how it came out and will likely make a few more, maybe even some tank tops in this same style.

I finished #4 on my list. Amigurumi. I made a garden gnome. He ended up a little wonky, but it's one more thing I can mark off of my list.
