Making friends with my sewing machine swallowed my list whole.  It is like an avalanche of craftiness that keeps making bigger and bigger rolling snowballs....

That's exactly what I was worried about  Cheesy

New additions...

- Finish weaving my scarf
- Finish Marilyn embroidery
- Finish kraken embroidery
- Embroider David a Viking flag
- Potholders/oven mitt
- Sew an apron
- Felt fishing game (inspired by rlynn https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=368060.0)

Troublet--ha ha for #37...

Just a couple more days and I expect to see a flurry of pics...I know I have at least one to post (I am not quite finished so I think it will count for 2011 once I do!) Cheesy

Printed my list and attached it in my notebook for a reminder and also to be able to draw pics and ideas...I like listing websites for supplies, inspiration, etc.

Did you know that last year this craftalong was huge? Cheesy

I wonder if we can outdo the 2010 craftalong?!

I'll have one project to share over the weekend and one that's coming along nicely.

Always - I love your idea about keeping a notebook with your ideas! It would be a great way, too, to organize your supplies and what you still need so you're not caught roaming around craft stores without a guide! Smiley

I like to print out patterns I find free from various sites or from Craftster members as well...I also clip pieces of fabric to remind me what I wanted to use for a project...I am totally casual with it---by the end of the year, it is one big fat mess of stuff held together with rubber bands Cheesy

Uhm. You sound like the most organized person on the planet.

Heck, I thought I was doing well with two "to-do" lists and a calendar by my keyboard.

I had you fooled then...I am a hot mess, as they say...Cheesy

I have way too many notebooks of stuff...I have tried every organization system there is and have come to terms that a messy notebook is my style... Cheesy

However, I will confess that all my fat quarters and quilting fabrics are organized by color in clear shoeboxes and that is about it! Cheesy

I can do that... I think.

Last year's thread being so big is why I fell so horribly behind and eventually gave up trying to keep track of it.   Roll Eyes  I'm sure we can out-do it though since its not technically even 2011 yet and we're up to 29 pages.

I think starting a notebook to keep track of everything I want to do this year would be a great idea.  And mine will probably (like alwaysinmyroom's notebook) be a hot mess.  lol.  Before the end of January I'll be able to cross off at least 3 projects.  The sketchbook will be finished, the shrug I'm getting paid for will be done, and the shrug for my significant other's mom will be done.  Huzzah!

The trick to not getting overwhelmed by huge threads is to be realistic about not having to read through all the pages...I hit the images button only and then just comment on the things that strike me that day...I love everyone's projects but it would take me way too long to comment on all of them!

Also, be sure to set up your profile for "quick reply"---you can comment immediately---memorize your favorite smileys using keystrokes...it is way quicker when you have lots of threads to monitor!

Always, I thought you would get a kick out of my mom's night hat. Smiley

I did find a pattern for a granny square night cap but decided against it. Something more fruffy, frilly for mom would be best.

I like the idea of printing and posting my To Do list but I really have nowhere to post it. I put my list on my blog with a special tag so I can pull it up easily.
