I decided to teach myself to knit last month.  I tried a scarf but got bored after about 10" of plain old knit and purl.  So I figured I'd just jump right in with something more fun.  I found the 'Amigurumi Knit' book at my library and love all the little critters.  I'm working my way through the veggies.  Started with the cucumber, moved on to the tomato, and then the garlic.  I've just started the eggplant.  It's been a lot of fun and I'm hooked on knitting in the round now.

These are going to be a gift for my sister who is a veggie farmer.

Wonderful job! I've done the veggies as well, but I decided to give them little eyes (black beads) and now the kids have stolen them  Grin. Keep up the good work!

Very cute! I love that book as well. It's made me obsessed with knitting amigurumi. I can't help it, it's so much fun! And I also tend to get bored very easily, so it's something that can maintain my interest.
