Hi all!
I've been lurking for a long time and I've finally got something to share :-)
I did these for my brother who got married a couple of weeks ago, he and his new wife are huge Potter fans so I thought they'd enjoy having these dolls. I worked with the Dr. Who Pattern from Pixelated Mushroom, which is a most excellent pattern! I love the size, it is perfect for a good sized doll. I've made two of the Dr. Who dolls (#10 doctor which my friends kids have dubbed "The Cutie Doctor" lol) and then thought about the Potter dolls, I elongated the coat to make a robe and latch hooked the hair piece by piece instead of the original hair style. I wanted a bit of a fuller look. I really really really stink at sewing/embroidering so I used puffy fabric paint to paint their faces on  Cheesy

It was a fun project, it took me a couple of weeks and a few tries to get them looking the way I wanted.

I hope you enjoy them also!

Kim

hehe, that's cool; I love their hair. Is latch hook difficult? I've always wanted to try it, but I've never gotten around to it

Thanks!

Nope, latch hook is not hard at all, you're basically just using the hook to pull the yarn through a hole. You can do it with your crochet hook too but it's just missing the latch part :-)

Great job! We're a Potterhousehold too. Can't crochet except granny squares but maybe this will inspire me to give it a try. I liked how you were creative to create the robes. The hair looks great.
