wasnt sure whether to put this in here or the bags section, but i thought what the hay.

this is my new, crocheted handbag. I bought the yarns for making xmas gifts, made a scarf, made my sister in law a bag the same as this (without the cherry blossom) and still had 1/3 of the massive ball (it was an 800g ball of Arran wool blend) left!!

add t the leftover yarn 1 handbag for 50p from a charity shop, canibalised for the zippers, and a pair of handles from the market and 2x1.59 iron on embroidered decals of cherry blossom and i have a beautiful, functional handbag.









the internal pocket is lined with fabric so that my keys don't pull threads from my crochet lol!!

outer is worked in HDC. inner pocket is sc.

I bought them from Hobbycraft, I'm in the UK and they're made by a uk company called pineapple but you might find some on ebay. hahaha, you're in the uk too lol!! but hobbycraft don't have them on their website Sad.

I love them too, I was only down that aisle to look at beading needles on the other side, the decals took my eye and i couldn't leave them!

found this which is the same kind of applique, but sold by an american company.

I live in the heathen north, but we have a hobbycraft near us (well, 30 miles) so I'll take a look in.

Oh, what a beautiful bag!  Cool I love the black & white combo & especially the flowers patch.

I've already been on eBay & found them. I'm planning to decide on something to use them on myself. They are lovely. One of these days I plan to learn to embroider so I can make things like this myself, but it's wonderful to have them easily available. I have a dear friend who now lives far from me. She loves Betty Boop & I've found embroidered patches for her. Thanks for telling us how to get them.
