Many of us have fond memories of super special sweets that our families made for the holidays. One of my favorite things to do this time of year is to make a new treat or two for my kids so that they will have those same memories some day. Smiley

Here's a chance to share your favorite holiday recipes! Starting Dec. 3 and running through the 10th, post your favorite holiday sweets in the Cooking Challenge Folder for a chance to win some wonderful handmade prizes!

(Link to Cooking Challenge Folder - https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?board=447.0)

This contest is going to be set up just a bit different. Here's how it will work:

Six numbers between 1-50 will be chosen. You post your recipes and I will number them in order of time posted every night. The members whose posts land on the chosen numbers will receive a prize! This way everyone has a fair chance regardless of type of entry or level of culinary expertise!

A separate thread in the Cooking Challenge folder will show the options for the prizes, some holiday themed, some not. The first person to post on a winning number will have first pick of the goodies and I will note the recipient's name beside their prize. There will be plenty of wonderful prizes so no one will be left with a bag of coal for being the last winning number.

But what if we have more than 50 entries?

Should that happen, I'm prepared! I dare you all to do so! Cheesy

Rules for entering:

1. Only one tried and true recipe per thread, preferably with a picture that you took. It can be cookies, candies, pies, cakes, mulled cider, cobblers, gingerbread houses, trifles, etc. Anything sweet can be entered!
2. No links to outside websites or blogs will be allowed. Failure to follow this rule will cause your entry to be disqualified and moved to the Dessert category.
3. You may post one recipe per day during the week of the contest.

Oh I was just going to post a recipe that I made over the weekend.  Can I post it in the desserts thread now and then enter it when the contest starts?

oooh!  I have pics of the cookies I make every year.  I'm going to enter them, but it's  okay that I haven't had a chance to make them yet this year?  And i just noticed I can't post em today... I guess I'll have to wait until the 9th as thats when I'm back from my trip.
