I bought these shoes the other day that goes great with skirts and realized that my mr. Kilt owns more of them than I do.  How very ungirly of me!
So I decided to make one, just because I can.

Since the fabric is thick and soft I had to sew each fold to make it stay the way I wanted. I of course followed my tradition of screwing something up by realizing too late that sewing the bottom hem BEFORE the folds would have been smart. But hey, at least I found out I have an overlock-ish type stitch on my magic machine, haha.

Due to my weakness for tiny pretty details I ended up using hooks, eyelets and a silk-ribbon as closing, instead of a simple zipper.
I admit I was terrified making the holes for the eyelets, thinking of how much work had gone to waste if I screw it up, but I was lucky, murphy was on vacation and it all worked out fine.

I'm super-proud and would love to hear what you think about it Smiley

That skirt is absolutely adorable! I love all of the pleats, especially coupled with the feminine ribbon. Did you draft your own pattern? It looks so perfect on you.

Very nice, the closing is really nice. The ribbon is super pretty.

I like your photography too. Smiley

Incredible skirt! What sort of material is that? Is it wool or brushed cotton?
