I'm so excited the new Stitch 'N Bitch book is finally out (SNB Superstar Knitting), and I can share my design!

Lotus Bag

Loved how everything came together in this one.

Double Knitting used for the handle, creates reversible pattern that looks nice on both sides, doesn't curl and extra sturdy. The double knitting also continues into the bottom to form a "tube" that plastic mesh canvas is inserted into for extra stability.

The lotus is worked in intarsia, the bag is lined and uses a magnetic snap for the closure.

Little more on the blog and Rav link.

A new stitch n' bitch book?  I loved the other books and had no idea there was another book in the series!  I assume its an awesome book since this bag  you made came from a pattern was in it.  I love the bag and the colors you used!

Want to learn to crochet or knit?  I have a ton of extra crochet hooks & circular knitting needles.  Will throw in some pattern books and yarn for anyone interested in a swap.

Thanks missmoppet!

I'm actually the designer of the bag. Cheesy And yep, brand new Stitch 'N Bitch book that's been in the works for some time. It's a kind of "next step" in the series focusing on advanced techniques.

I did a review on my blog as well here.

This is soooooooo cute! Congrats on being published  Grin

I've been looking to try out the double knitting technique, and that strap is gorgeous! Might be just the motivation I need  Wink

P.S. The lining fabric you used is also very pretty!

Okay.. I was being vague until I could check in with the powers-that-be, but y'all should all be happy to know that we'll be having a challenge/contest where we'll be giving away at least one copy of SNB Superstar Knitting!!!  We have some great things related to the book, too, including the opportunity to have your questions answered by Debbie Stoller... I think there will be more details coming later today! Cheesy

ETA - Here's the link to ask any burning questions you may have for Debbie! You may win your very own copy of this awesome book which will allow you to make your own Lotus bag!
