So, am I  the only one who does this?
Walking down the the aisles at the grocery store and I spot some awesome teas that have the Mad Hatter, the red queen and Alice on them.  and i buy them with the the thought. "Hey, I bet some day there will be another Alice in wonderland swap"  So in the cart they go.
Walking through the dollar store and I find some gemstones in a small bottle and think " Hey if there's ever another Outlander swap, I could put these in the package"  So in the cart they go
In the fabric store. "Oooh look at that Hello kitty fabric. I know of no one in my personal life who might like that, but I'm getting a meter anyway, because it may be useful in a swap"

Please tell me I'm not insane Wink

Not at all.  There are entire tubs of supplies, i'm talking the BIG 30 gallon tubs, in my house because of this.  i think i have about 4 tubs of crap for "swapping" (quotes because i usually forget i've bought things and go out shopping again!)

You are definitely not insane. I have an entire room with stuff that's just for crafting "swapping" making personal gifts, gonna finally open an etsy shop kinda stuff. Yet I walk the aisles of my local hobby store every week and continue to buy more. I was finishing up a swap last night and a friend sarcastically ask if I'd ran out of supplies. My response "Uh NO!!! Don't you realize I am a crafting hoarder?!?!?!" LoL!!!

I do this all the time.  That is how I have built such a huge stash of crafting stuff!  My friend the other day called me "the swiss army knife of crafting supplies" because every time she has a craft idea and talks about going to the store to buy something, I tell her I have it and she can use it LOL!

I do that all the time too! When shopping for fabric I tend to think "what kind of fabric is in demand on craftster" rather than "what kind of fabric would I like".  Tongue And sometimes I happen to see something that I am sure I have seen on some craftsters wist, and get it in case I get the chance to swap with that person in the future.

Count me in on living that insanity!  I find that is how all my shopping goes now - actually, that was my shopping pre-swapping too - but related to things like birthday and Christmas shopping

I'm doing it too! It started with a small box of nice swap candy that I don't get at the nearby shops, and then another box with swap extras, and another one... and swappers I swap often with have each their own box... and a huge part of my stash technically files under "useful for other people than me". Grin What, giving them to swap partners? Like in, giving them away... err... huh? Grin Grin I think I need a givers and needers swap Grin
Wow, a room full of craft and swap supplies, that sounds amazing! I don't have that. Probably because I have distributed my supplies over every room avaiable. Even with the kids Grin They love their bean bag sofa which is actually my polyfill stash Grin
Would only want to have everything in one room if I could live in that room Grin
