I work with a group through NAM (Northwest Assistance Ministries), who do a number of projects daily, weekly, annually, etc. for those less fortunate in the Houston, TX area.

We are hoping to provide Christmas gifts to children who would not otherwise receive anything, and I personally have 2 bags to fill. One for a girl aged 8-10, and one for a boy age 4-5.

I thought I'd post here in case anyone does a craft that would fall into one of these categories, and if you want to make something that would go to a needful and grateful recipient, I would love for you to send it to me to put in the bag for them!

Please PM me for my address if you'd like to participate, or if you have any questions.

I need to have them in my hand by the first of December, so send accordingly. Thanks a million!

I can't think of anything right off hand, but I'll see what I can do.  If I come up with anything, I'll let you know and get your address.

Sweet! Toys as well as clothes, or gloves, or socks, or hat/scarf... craft kits that would be age appropriate, crayon roll to hold crayons...I was thinking a simple small purse for the girl...fun zipper pouches to fill with treats...a diary for her, or jewelry...

I'll definitely come up with something, just not sure what at this point.  My sewing machine is bonkers lately so I'm going to try to take it in for service this weekend.

My knitting skills are extremely basic, but I could knit her a very simple scarf and some wrist warmers to match.  How about that?
