I'm 60 miles north of Joplin, and 20 miles east of the Missouri-Kansas border. I think Springfield is about 100 miles away. My son's band, Fraught with Peril, plays around Springfield, and the rest of the band lives in that area, so he goes down there all the time. I like Springfield and miss it. Can't head that way myself very often these days. A meet-up would be fun someday. Glad there are people in driving distance now.  Smiley

I need to do something productive with my time, but today got pretty stressy, and now I'm just happy that the situation seems to be mostly resolved. Feeling lazy now. Trying to decide, bead work or hand-sewing, or weaving? Eh, I might go to bed and get up before the rest of the family.

Anyone have a size G afghan/Tunisian hook they can add to their shop? They don't sell them locally (not that I could afford it, anyway). I might be interested in smaller sizes too, but I really need the G for a project.

I would love to swap for things kids could do in the car on a long car trip (3 girls ages 5-12). I can knit, crochet or trade yarn.

Craftaddiction - I have a tunisian hook around here somewhere -- I bought two of them for some reason.  Not sure of the size.  I'll have a look-see and let you know by the weekend!

All this PO talk, I can't help but smile a bit. Your problem seem a little luxury stricken from over here Smiley you do still pay 1/3-2/3 of the price for shipping - and if I should have a #DC on all my packages they would be about $15 each for the smallest and lightest that is.

On a crafty note I wisited ECCO shoes yesterday. It was really amazing! A wonderful company...not that I'm using their shoes but still Tongue So now I'm off to the school to make a moodboard and starting making a basic patterns for my last so I can really start the shoedesigning Cheesy

The Mitten Project is a year of mittens! Each week a new mitten and you get to choose which ones should be knit. In the end three pairs will be given away to you readers.

Hi, audio! I'm excited to see you STSing! I'm moving back to England at the end of January Grin Somewhere in Cheshire (in the north west where we're from), possibly Chester.

I'm getting quite excited now but there's just so much to do. Packing here, selling our car, finding a house to buy back home, find a house to rent while we're buying a house, buying cars, registering with doctors and dentists, looking for a job...! It's an endless list of mostly boring stuff that currently covers an entire A4 piece of paper Cheesy

Today I need to get on the hunt for things I've been keeping hold of that I really could be offering in this swap!

Would there be any interest in 1 point birds like these?

Thanks audio!  Grin I have one or two more junk dolls in the works - some using pieces you sent to me in the whimsy swap Wink

I'm super excited because tomorrow I have the entire day off from school and work   Cheesy I'm probably going to enjoy a relaxing day of crafting for the first time in a long time - though depending on if I get any major homework, that might be cut a little short. I fully intend to take a day just for me and de-stress. In the evening I'm hanging out with a friend from school and we're going bowling LOL. Let's just say a good day for me is getting over 100 but we'll have fun. I'm excited hehe.

Phizzy - I'm going to be haunting your shop a lot this round it sounds like. Guess I better work on getting more points  Wink

Phizzy, you must be so excited to be moving back home!  I'll probably have to wait until I can retire to do that!  Smiley

Hey HippieKinder
I am in Springfield!
That is crazy. Have you been here before?

I have been there before!  Hubby has tons of family down there.  Grandma, 2 sisters, 2 cousins, uncle, mom and dad (though they are divorced), nieces and nephews.
We try to get down there at least once a year for Thanksgiving and the past couple years the kids have been spending a couple weeks with their Grandma in the Summer.  This past Summer we managed to get over to SDC which is always fun.
It's a scary, exciting, confusing move!  Cheesy

In crafty news, I didn't get those earrings made last night.  Hubby kept me up until 2:30am watching The Departed!  I'm hoping to get them made today.
Would there be interest in tatted bookmarks?  If I can get the earrings made today I might be brave and try a bookmark.
