Hehehehehe....  I found this in the "Road hazards and rage" section of my local paper (I live in a smallish city outside Seattle):

"A caller reported seeing an elderly women in a black car who was knitting while driving at 1:23 pm May 3 on the eastbound Interstate 90 exit ramp and northbound on state Route 900.  The caller reported the driver was swerving all over I-90."

I guess one can take knitting mania too far...  Wink  That's why I ride the bus, so I don't have to drive and knit!

I've seen people read while they drive, but never knit!  That's one I'd like to see....on the tv.   Smiley

Funny you should mention knitting whilst driving, last week I went to a meeting and I knew that there would be traffic queues involved so I had my knitting on the passenger seat and was knitting as the traffic crawled along.  For reference for those in the UK it was the M4 junction 19 (Bristol)  Grin

I must admit that there have been many times that I was very tempted to pick up a project that was sitting on my passenger seat.  How I wish we had better public transport so I could knit during my hour commute!
