I got this Simplicity pattern (2396) a few weeks ago, and have been itching to try it out!

The outer fabric is a bit thicker and heavier, which I think will wear well for being a purse.  I found this nice subtle pattern for the lining, and I think it works well:

First time using fusible interfacing- it is great stuff!  Just started cutting out pieces for the other bag that goes with the pattern- apparently, I am on a bag binge Cheesy

I made a Hawaiian print bag from the same pattern earlier this year - love it!  It seems to hold everything I could possible need in a day.  You chose great fabric for your purse (I actually think I have the blue and tan in my stash somewhere).  The button hook on yours turned out really well - I had a heck of a time with it.  Great job!
