psychonmemphis: when you are mentally ill and that cause psychical illness it is called psychosomatic... here in Germany we know a lot of sayings like "The eye and the skin are the windows into your soul" or "Something is like a heavy stone in your stomach"... If we are feeling bad our skin looks awful and our stomach hurts.
I got a gastritis just because of stress...
So it is normal to feel physical ill when your are mentally down. But hey, someday the sun will shining again... even it is hard to believe it right now Sad
that is so true-in the beginning of the semester i was going through a horrible depression and my skin and body looked/felt horrible. then my ex broke up with me because  he couldnt deal with my depression so it got worse. now that i moved rooms so i have time to myself and ive been feeling so much better about everything my skin is starting to clear up and i feel less sick all the time. i found that what really helped me the most was just eating good food and forcing myself to hang out wioth people and do things. its been really nice and im starting to feel ok.

im glad your feeling better psychomemphis-walking is such a wonderful way to start feeling better. im with you on the whole ex thing but after a while it really does start to get liberating being alone. ive founb that instead of focusing my time on a guy whose not that into me i can focus on friends and family instead

Sorry that you're not feeling so well psychonmemphis. Glad the walk helped though. Try changing the lighting in your place maybe? I read that if a room is too dark it can make you feel depressed as well. I feel happiest in my living room that has a huge window with lots of natural light and crappy up stairs because the lighting sucks. I'mm be going to the basement soon which has better lighting than upstairs but no natural light. We'll see how that goes.

In crappy news my beloved computer that's not even a year old has stopped working. I think it's the power supply so I spent $170 I don't have on it. Then I realized the wiring was all emssed so I'm paying moore for them to redo the wiring in my computer.. and if it's not the power supply I just wasted a lot of money that I don't have. Hopefully I'll start work next weekend. I have some ideas on what to make my partner. One will be finished tomorrow since it's the same as an item I'm making for my harry potter swap since she's into harry potter as well. Just drying then I get to do some painting tomorrow. Never done paper mache before so that was interesting.

In health news... I have a *insert huge scientific term here* which is a blood bubble on my liver that's been causing massive pain in my size for about 4 years and that no medication (even t3's) can fix. So I'm seeing my doctor again wednesday to make another ultra sound test and then possibly surgery.. If the blood bubble hasn't gotten bigger I get lots more tests and get to live in pain every night for a few more years. It gets worse when I'm stressed, which I am now because I've missed a lot fo classes and had to spend a lot of money I didn't really have on glasses and fixing my computers.

Sometimes life likes to mess with us. It seems to be getting better and then BAM, a few more things go wrong. Hopefully I'm not in pain for classses tomorrow. Hopefully everyone else is doing a bit better.

I hope everyone is having a better time than I am. My dorm is being girls, thus lots and lots of drama. I don't do well with conflict period. It gives me a sick feeling in my tummy. And they just pulled me into it..up 15 minutes ago? As the scapegoat for something that I didn't freakin' do, or even care about. I'm mad, because I have a horrid time making friends, and yeah-I didn't really care for them-but it was nice to have someone to be around. Now I walk into my living room and I'M the one feeling unwanted.

Let yourself know
Those who achieve, do not know that they can't. Those who fail to achieve, do not realize that they can.

What do you believe you can do? What do you think you cannot do?

Whatever it is, you are right. Now imagine what would happen if you raised your expectations.

Make your dreams so compelling that you forget about what you thought you could not do. And sure enough, you'll soon find yourself doing it.

Consider each skill, each ability, and realize that those skills and abilities can grow. Look at the accomplishments you've already reached, and see the possibilities for building on them.

See the very real continuum between the value you've already created and the goals you wish to reach. Let yourself know you can, and you will.

I have had a sudden burst of creativity lately despite my lonliness (boyfriend is away for the month for work.....and my family is 3 hours away). I got the gumption to dust off my sewing machine finally and my dad's Christmas gift is almost done (just 2 more family members left).....I am trying to brainstorm some items for my partner too.

wow that suck about your computer!  i would cry lol I hope everything goes ok with your "blood bubble" that even sounds painful Sad i totally get what you mean about things starting to get better and then bam right back to crap... i like sitting in the dark which probably is not helpful but i am out of light bulbs and do not feel like going to the store lol  i have 1 good one in the kitchen (good as in i can see to craft well) so i have been in here all day everyday. I did get some motivation after my walk and finished up 2 prior personal swaps, cleaned and started this one so i will be walking again later Smiley wow i am freezing!!!!!!

Thanks Kodama!!! Glad I could help you get back to what you love.

Today's quote comes from Zig Ziglar ~ "Most of us would be upset If we were accused of being "silly" comes from the old English word "seilig" and it's literal definition is"to be blessed , happy, healthy and prosperous."

Today do something silly, something that will make you laugh out loud at yourself, something out of the ordinary.

Peace & Blessings Everyone,

Polkadotts
