I made this for the Tim Burton Swap.

Bought a plain wooden box. Painted it, sanded it to give it that distressed look and used a Jack Skellington stencil to make the face on the outside of the lid.

On the inside of the lid is a polymer clay key I made to look like Jack. I love skeleton keys and thought that a Jack Skellington key would be fitting for the this project. You can't tell from the photo, but the body of the key has purple sugar glitter painted over the black.

I'm very happy with the way the box turned out.

I like the unique placement... I think most of us would have put the key on the outside but it looks awesome on the inside lid!!!! Ps. purple rulez!
