The free pattern is here http://www.box.net/shared/fbnn8nuiag

These are the mods for a Popsicle Potholder

The Co is..30sts and knit in seed st for 46 row.
Decrease one stitch at each end of the row for shaping until you have 8 stitches.
Bind off in pattern.

Knit 2 popsicles, mattress stitch them together. Leaving an opening at the bottom…for your hand.

From the corner count 10 stitches towards the center.
Pick up the 11 stitches for the stick.
Knit 14 rows, then decrease one stitch at each end until you have 3 stitches, BO.
Knit another one separately.
Mattress stitch them together along the outer edges…leaving a hole for your thumb.

I plan on lining this potholder with some lite batting and some cotton muslin, I’ve burned myself before, and don’t want to do it again.

For a snugger fitting potholder, decreases the cast on to 26 sts. and decrease the amount of rows to better fit the length of your hand. :-)
