Just a reminder folks that this is in the "suggestions" folder and hasn't been chosen as a challenge yet.

One of my bridesmaids was a local beauty queen who had a public appearance after my reception.  She put on her sash and tiara with the bridesmaid dress and went like that. And my sister in law wore hers to prom the next spring. I don't know what it cost for the one bridesmaid who didn't have a family member that could sew for her, but for the rest of them the material actually cost less than the guys' tux rentals. I'd say I did pretty good.

Because not al of us have held such an important role at a wedding, can it include your prom dress?
I made mine a little over two years ago, and I have nothing I could wear it to.
I also have my grade 8 grad dress still, which could use a facelift.

Will not be returning to craftster until I can get my anxiety under control. Thank you for all the supportive people I have met here!

I love the idea of this!!!!  Being an old, slightly smarter person than in my reckless youth I have successfully avoided becoming a bridesmaid for a very long time...but I remember the pain!
Every time I see the 3rd picture down (the accordion ice cream dress???wtf?) I just start laughing.

You ladies look beautiful!! (though I imagine it is the ecstatic glow on your faces from destroying the dresses)
I love the picture of the girl in red floating in the swimming pool, her dress isn't too bad but the color looks fantastic on her!

Last month a few friends and I took a married girls trip away and took our old brides maids dresses along.  We did a wreck the dress photo shoot with my camera as a fun trip memory thing.  It was a blast and took care of those dresses for us Smiley  We are planning another wreck the dress for our next trip!

This is a great idea! I hope you do this one! I have a red corseted dress that I will never wear again...it has a corset!

I would LOVE this challenge! I already have five bridesmaids dresses, and while one of them is a super cute sundress from J. Crew, I also have two blood red sweetheart neckline, embroidered dresses from different weddings, gross!
