I made this book for the One Tiny Thing Book Swap. My partner (Noooitaremybirthday) had many things on her theme list that I thought would work well together. I used her theme of birds, colors, texture, and altered art.
The cover. My first try at coptic binding. I also added some fun fiber dangles.

The first layout. Inside cover and first page. The first page is a pic of Nooo's bird Peanut I borrowed from her blog.  Wink

The 2nd spread is the green layout. If you push the gold tab up the bird's head pops out of the egg. This shows it popped up.

The 3rd yellow spread. The bird on the right hand side is Noo's bird that passed away this year, Kitty. Another pic borrowed from her blog.

Next is the purple layout with collage, stamping, ect.

The blue spread. With gessoed eggs in a nest and a bird that I drew.

The magenta spread with stamping and layered backgrounds.

The black and white spread. The soar ticket is held into the book with a swirly paper clip.

The red layout. I used the burned paper bag technique to make the little bird.

The final page and inside cover of the back of the book.

The book is about 2.5 inches tall by 2 inches wide. I had a blast making it! Grin Thanks Nooo for letting me use the pics you took!

I adore this book.  The green layout with the surprise hatching bird is my favorite.
I love all of the different techniques you used and the bright colors.
It is so sweet that you "borrowed" pics of Nooo's birds to include in the book.

Oh! What a great book. I love the little bird in the egg. It is really sweet that you were able to use pictures of your partners birds. Being relatively new to altered art, I find it inspirational when I see it well done - and this really gives me something to aim for! Thank you!
