I was thinking of something I could make for this contest. While buying groceries;
I figured on making sugar cookies in the shape of mama's face.  Well for small sugar cookies you couldn't see the individual pieces that I put into making them.  I wanted to also be able to share the pieces with friends. So, I decided on a giant cookie, and not only that a giant pull-apart cookie!

I started with a regular sugar cookie base from scratch, but before I added the flour; I separated the mixture equally in three bowls, and put in flavorings and color.  For cooking mama's bandanna I put in red food coloring and strawberry flavoring.  For her face, eye shine, and teeth I only put in vanilla flavoring and no coloring.  Finally for her hair and eyes color I used baking cocoa powder, and the brown pigment of the powder did the coloring for me.
Then I added the flour and mixed to make the dough.

I let the dough chill for the required time.

While waiting for this to chill I sketched a picture of what I wanted the cookie to look like.

Then rolled each of the separate doughs and used a makeshift square cookie cutter to cut the pieces out of the dough.

I also used a butter knife to quarter these squares.

Arrange the squares to look like mama's face.

You might make need to make smaller rectangles to fit in some spaces.

Add a different color.

Add the last color.

Add other shapes to make it look more like mama.

Bake your Mama cookie at the required temperature and time.
Let cool and enjoy!

You can even icing it if desired.

Serve it to your friends, family, or even at a themed party.
