Good news, I have been successfully struck by inspiration! I wound up making a calorimetry out of my Lime Soda yarn because I was afraid I wouldn't have enough, and embellished it with vintage buttons and parts of a vibrant plastic lei I took apart.

(The color of the yarn is a little muted there but there are more pics in my shop.)

P.S.: How cute would this be with a hoodie??

Crafting to keep insanity at bay.

Still around skulking in the corners. Between the STS Holiday swap and the Mini 12 days of xmas, I have my hands full for crafting but not much more to add to my shop right now. I am coming up with a couple of really cool ideas for the future though, and perhaps an extra item or two through my rather scatterbrained crafting mode (I swear I keep jumping from one thing to the next without finishing which is rather unlike me - it'll get done I swear lol).

Anyone a fan of Teesha Moore? I made a piece or two TM-inspired that were originally going in a swap package but got opted out for other things. If there's any interest I'll see about putting it in my shop (and making more! they're so fun  Grin).

In school news I'm pretty much 99% decided that I'm going to be taking printmaking and fiber next semester  Smiley I really wanted to do ceramics (and I totally will eventually) but it just didn't work out very nicely schedule-wise. I'm curious about the fiber class. The description isn't too helpful, but I hear the teacher is good, and it sounds very intriguing. I'll keep you all posted!

While I'm destashing, would anyone be interested in lots of bottle caps or corks? How about altoid tins or other kinds of containers to re-cover?

How about 3 or 4 for a point? I have no idea actually...

Are these the standard size or the minis? The minis are harder for me to work with. Smiley

They are standard size not necessarily altoid brand but the same size and shape. I could put up as many as I could find for .25 point each to mix and match... check back tomorrow!

Thank you all for the input on the hoops--you've saved me lots of time!  Grin Decoupaging over the plastic ones does sound like the best idea. Or maybe some kind of appropriate fabric. And I'd be glad to pick some up in STS to get started with.  Smiley

"stitch master" does sound rather commanding!  Cheesy

very cute calorimetry, Miss V! I think my darker green one came from you, a long time ago, and I still love it.

Seeking photo or rubberstamp of a school of sardines crammed together facing the same way (much like people in a crowd)

Thanks! If it's the dark green varigated handspun, then yep, that was me. How has it held up to wear? If it's the one I'm thinking of, there were some major issues with the wool and I struggled with it.

BTW, another shortcut to get a woodframe look or to easily paint the frames would be to wrap it in brown paper packing tape strips.
