Well, I didn't open my box until this morning because I didn't trust myself!  So here's a photo of everything wrapped, plus up front is my day 1 gift.  A great fabric bag with a really interesting closure.  Inside were a Halloween note pad and red hot candies.  I ran out of red hots about 2 weeks ago making candied apple jelly and I need some for gingerbread men (and snacking) so excellent timing!  Thanks so much, Sweetyetevil!

October 20
Sweetyetevil and I decided to make day two a candy day.  What a great idea it turned out to be!  She sent all of my favorites and also all of my husband's favorites!  There's red licorice, skittles, Mounds, caramel apple pops and lots of chocolate.  I was afraid to send chocolate because we've had record heat but this came 100% intact.  We don't get trick or treaters here so there's never an excuse to have candy in the house.  Thanks so much for the candy, Sweetyetevil!

October 21
Today, I got an adorable sewn pumpkin in Halloween fabrics, isn't it cute!?

October 22
Today I received glittery skull magnets, they went right on my refrigerator.  Thanks Sweetyetevil, I love them!

October 23
Today's package contained two fun items!  An embroidered zombie hand hoop and a coordinated candy finger lollipop.

October 24
We decided to dedicate a day to our dogs.  What I am wondering is if I got the right date, I may have made it the 26th.   Undecided Anyway... we did almost the exact same thing for each others dogs!  Here's an action shot of Jenna wearing some festive collar bling!  A dog bone resin pendant and a zombie heart pendant.  Also included in today's package were an assortment of dog treats.  Jenna will be sharing these with our livestock guardian dogs.  Treats for everyone today!

October 25
Today's package contained a cute wooden pumpkin garden stake.  It's been installed in my herb bed between the tarragon and the thai basil.  Thanks Sweetyetevil!

October 26
Today I got jewelry!  A necklace with a vintage cat image on one side and monsters on the other.

October 27
Today I got a companion embroidery hoop to the zombie hand one I already received, it's so pretty!

October 28

My partner has such awesome embroidery talents!  Today I received a framed owl embroidery that will look beautiful in my dining room year round.  It's just lovely.

October 29
Today's package - a sparkly pumpkin resin key ring!

October 30
Hiding in my lemon tree are today's items.  Two cute owl ornaments and a Halloween stamp with block!

October 31
A Halloween centerpiece!  Happy Halloween and thanks so much to my partner, Sweetyetevil!

I received from ollieorange today! Check out my haul. I can't wait to actually open up these packages!!

Excuse all the dog noses. They have to investigate everything that comes through the door.

DAY 13
ollieorange and I agreed to make something other than a container since we both have plenty of bags. She made the most incredible wreath!! I can't wait to hang this on the door.

DAY 12
An awesome vase filled with wonderful goodies! Pirate flag, boo soap, wind-up skeleton, band-aids and some adorable raven stickers!

DAY 11
It's sugar skull day!!! I received an awesome glittered sugar skull, skull ice-cube trays (which are already in the freezer) and skull jersey fabric!

DAY 10 & DAY 9
For day 10 I received some fantastic orange yarn. I love the color orange and can't wait to find the perfect project for this.

For day 9 I received a super cute mummy doll and some Halloween candles. I think these are the the ones that drip different colors Smiley.

Super cool tray and skeleton serving forks! I can't wait to use these.

DAY 7Fun party stuff! A fake brain packaged like a steak, super cute napkins and labels that you can put over wine bottles to make them look like poison or other spooky things. Can't wait to use these!

Halloween banner!! Just like the one on my wists. It's just what our mantle needed!

Candle holder + orange candles. I love candles so these will go up in flames pretty quickly here Wink.

Super cute tea towels with pumpkin tea! Yum!

Spooky Halloween bottles! The red one is filled with a syrup-ey liquid that looks just like blood...eeewwwww! Great decorations.

Dog day! Zombie dog, biscuit mix, dog toy, cookie cutters and a little costume - all in a very cute basket!

I tried to get some shots of Beatrice in her costume but she wasn't in much of a modeling mood Smiley.

Mailing Box

I love this tape used to close up the box!

Day 1!
Day one was wrapped in this great skulls fabric.  I can't wait to use it Smiley

This bag to contain everything else is AMAZING!!! I am already blown away.

I love this monster.  He is totally adorable!  He is holding a bone in each hand, and the one hand that is not visible is in his mouth with a ribbon leading to the gifts.

It's all explained in the note.

Day 2!

The monster opened his mouth to reveal the gifts inside!

A wonderful banner that came disassembled so I could decide the order of the triangles and which side of each one to put facing out.

I totally love it!  some of the fabric glows in the dark which makes it even cooler!

Day 3!

I got a super cute skeleton stamp and a clear block to mount it.

Day 4!

This was a great day with a very clever banner/wall hanging of classic horror movie posters.

the photos are dark and blurry because when I used my flash there was too much glare on the laminated posters.

Here is a close up of each of the three posters.

Day 5!

Some "gruesome" tattoos and a black box with fantastic stickers to make it a Halloween jewelery box.

The necklace is super fun, and very appropriate for the season!

Day 6!

I love these stuffed pumpkins!  They are so fun and cute.  Once I get a nice plate I will be using these as a centerpiece.  In the photo they are on my tote that stores my Halloween decorations.

Day 7!

I am going to hang this super cute ghost in my front window.  The napkins will totally be used for my Halloween dinner, and I don't know what I will do with the mask yet, but I am sure I will come up with something!

Day 8!

I think this is my favourite day so far (except the first day with the monster of course)!  I love these homemade pillow cases.  Each one is so well made with the black skull fabric on one side, and the brightly coloured orange or green fabric on the other side.

These are going on my pillows right away!

Day 9!

This shiny shirt is so fun.  There are velvety spider webs all over it.  I am not sure if I will be giving it to my husband to wear, or if I will cut it up and use it as fabric.

Ok first I'd like to apologize to my partner for taking so long to get these posted. I got my package yesterday and I took a ton of pictures but I wanted to wait until I had time to post these properly. Smiley
First up the box and all the fabulous wrapping!

Her daughter even sent me a picture and she sent me a cool page of bats! Still trying to decide what to do with it. But I'll figure it out! Smiley

Day 13
SharLaMarz made me a box instead of a bag and it is so AWESOME!!! I'm using it to hold all of my vintage embroidery patterns. They were all just in a plain brown box so this is soooo much better!

Day 12
Ok for day 12 Shara and I decided to have a hubby and kids day but we both included each other in that day too. Wink
First a picture of all of them together wrapped up.

My daughter Megan opening her presents!

She LOVED her swirly lolllipop!

I think the pictures speak better than words on this one. Smiley

She was so bummed that the necklace was broke because she really loves it and wants to wear it for Halloween. Smiley

More awesome candy! She loved the monster ring pops!
Megan says Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for everything!!!! Smiley

My Hubby David!

The M & M's and the Swedish Fish were gone within I'd say 5 minutes of him opening them! Smiley Then he set up the skeleton chair and the skeleton candles. They look perfect!!!

Ok I might need to explain that setting up the Halloween village is what my husband loves to do for Halloween. Smiley
My Hubby says Thank you, Thank you, thank you! He loved everything!

and now for ME!!!

Ok you have no idea how many times I walked by those skeleton ornaments at Michael's and wanted to get one but didn't! So it just makes getting this one that much more awesome!
I think I've figured out that the pumpkins and skeletons in the bag are play dough but I haven't figured out what to do with them just yet. I'll think of something. Smiley
Oh and I love those swirly lollipops too!!! Thank you, Thank you, thank you Shara!!!

She has a new home in my crafting room now. Smiley Love her!

Day 11
Shara made me an awesome pair of fingerless gloves! They matched the shirt I wore today absolutely perfect! Smiley (not this one I wore that shirt yesterday)

My husband obviously took this picture. LOL!

Day 10
Squeee! Shara made me a Halloween Scrapbook!!! I LOVE IT!!!

Here are a couple of pictures of the pages. Smiley

Isn't it AWESOME!! Smiley

Day 9
Two COMPLETELY AWESOME necklaces!!! Vampire lips and Jack Skellington! Love them! I wore Jack all day yesterday! Smiley

Day 8
A box full of my FAVORITE chocolates, Hershey's chocolate bars and Twix! Nom Nom!!!! Plus BONUS 2 handmade lip balms! YEA!!!

Couldn't post this picture until my partner opened up day 9. I LOVED the Halloween tree on her wist so much that when I decided to make her one I made one for myself too. Smiley The ornaments on mine are slightly different than hers because I didn't have a chance to finish my ornaments until after I had already mailed hers off. By the way Shara that one was my favorite too! LOL!!!

Day 7
On the 7th day of Halloween my swap partner gave to me! An AMAZING twisted copper wire Halloween Spooky Tree!!!!

Don't know whether this was intentional or not but it is the PERFECT size for our Halloween Village!!!!
How awesome is that!!! We absolutely LOVE IT you did an amazing job on this Shara! Thank you so much!

Day 6
On the 6th day of Halloween my swap partner sent to me!

Some AWESOME Apple Cider scented body cream and two yummy Vanilla scented candles!!! Yay!! LOve them! Smiley Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Day 5
OMG!!! Shara sent me the coolest things today!
Here's the cool bag that she sent them in.

At first I didn't know what they were but when it hit me what they were I was like OMG! That is so cool!

First up is the toy she made for my cockatiel Silver!

And some hammocks for my guinea pigs! That's Caramel and Stardust.

Here's Scarlett. Smiley

Scarlett's hammock.

Thank you so much Shara! These are too cool!

Day 4
Today I got a bag of yummy Charm Pops and the COOLEST Grave in the Box EVER!!!! Thank you so much Shara I absolutely LOVE THIS!!!

And check it out my guinea pigs LOVE their hammocks they've been taking turns laying in them. Smiley

Day 3

Today I got an AWESOME Halloween clown doll, a super cool black cat box (which I am using to store some more of my craft supplies in), and some YUMMY window pane cookies! Smiley

Love everything! Thank you so much Shara!!!

Day 2

Holy Cow! Shara Thank you so much for making me one of your hats!!! I love it! Smiley Not only that but she sent me a cool grave stone and Halloween lights!!! AWESOME!!!

And that's not even all because I also received the box that she sent me with the bats to fix Megan's necklace and there were some SUPER AWESOME EXTRA GOODIES! Squeeee!!!! Shara you are the absolute coolest! Thank you so much!!!!

First up is my darling daughter wearing the bat necklace! Smiley She absolutely loves it and says thank you so much!

Next up a whole bunch of mini pumpkins for our Halloween Village!!! AWESOME!!

And the COOLEST lollipop ornaments for my Halloween Tree!!! Squee!!! OMG!!! Thank you Shara I FREAKIN LOVE these so much! You ROCK GIRL!

She also sent me some awesome chocolate molded like tombstones. Pictures to come. Sorry forgot to take a picture of them.

Day 1

Wow! Lots and lots of goodies today! I got orange lollipops, a whole bag full of jelly beans (I love jelly beans!!!), 2 packaged bloody window clings which will be going up on the windows today, a muslin bendable doll (I think I may have a voodoo doll sometime in the near future  Wink), a Coraline key necklace (I have the perfect shirt to wear with that!), and some wicked cool Halloween socks which are presently on my feet! Smiley Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Shara! I love everything!

Hope everyone has a Wonderful Halloween!!!

I opened my box before I got a picture. But here is day 1!

It's HUGE! And Orange..which is one of my favo colors.  Yeah!

A nice ribbon wreath. The colors look great with our door too Grin

Today I got GLOW IN THE DARK!!!! One of my favo things Grin.  A scorpion, bat and TWO tarantulas. They have suction cups on there bellies...but I think I will cut them off and use the cups to make a tentacle with glow suction cups heheheh. The glow creepy crawlies have really nice detail. Thanks a bunch Grin

CANDY DAY!!!! *runs around the room in a sugar rush*. The really shiny little box is Smarties, which is like MandM's. Coffee Crisp is one of my favo.  I like the bag with the shiny spider webs a bunch too.

Today I got some AMAZING!! Halloween cards, hand made by tlh878. They are so cool. She was even so thoughtful that she put infinity stamps on them, so I don't have to fret about postage. They were tied up with a nice length of green ribbon with tiny polka dots.

Two cute little pillows in my favo green. They are covered in eyes which glow in the dark! I'll try and take a pic of them in action latter tonight. It's not dark enough now.  UPDATE:  Glow pics INC (man it's hard to take glow pics):

Today I got a pumpkin carving kit and a pumpkin necklace. You can maybe tell that the eyes are flashing...well one of them is on at least heheh

My boy Cosmo also got a prezzie. IT fits him great.  HE is squinting because of the flash, not the outfit LOL

2 different creepy soaps. One is clearly eyes LOL. The other one has a green bat, white spider, black witch (I think), purple Franky, and an orange pumpkin.

Today is a neat vase filled with eyes and black roses.

Sorry I haven't updated in a bit...not been feeling well...But enough of that!  Here we GO!!!...(I think I have them in the right order).

2 wooden pumpkin trivets.

This amazing fabric assortment was going to be placemats, till her sewing machine broke.  BUT, I think the fabric will be more usefull to me then placemats (but I'm sorry your machine is broke).  I also got 2 [packs of bias tape and 2 spools of thread...the black is already in my machine Grin

An uber nice embroidery of a sipider and it's webb.  thl878 says it is her first embroidery!  I'm very impressed and happy to be the recipient.

And then *DRUM ROLE*!!!! She saved the best for last...

BUTTONS!!!  That is what I named him at least.  This may be my favo swap thingy EVER!! I'm considering him the mutant brother of my "boy" Cosmo.  He has kinda poodle like fur, for one thing.  He has uber nice green toe nails...My guy's are not green, but he has kinda strange nails (they will not grow the quick out enough for me to cut them, no matter what.)  And her is a brotherly photo so you can see the resemblance...

Thanks so much for all the Halloweeny-ness tlh878!

Gallery spot, I choose you!

Day- Well, it's actually Day 12!
They say that even the most heavy, black and pendulous of clouds have a silver lining  Wink Although I got my package a day late, I got to open TWO days worth of presents all at once  Grin mwah hah hah hah hah! hah hah hah hah! hah hah ha*cough, splutter- curses!*h hah hah hahhhhhh!

here is my box, mostly obscured by my massive, and massively awesome, altered day of the dead pillowcase/gift sack- here are sugar skulls number one...

and two!

they're decorated with a mix of paint, beads and embroidery, and the fabric in the background is covered in what look like large leaves, it's got a definite island voodoo vibe!

as well as the presents just visible in the box there, glamis included a german advent calendar (german christmases are considered the ideal here in england, where everything has gone a bit commercial, and i can't wait to try the german chocolate!) and some disney shrinkies which turned out to be too large for what glamis intended- here's belle, alice, the cheshire cat, and my favourite, stitch- nothing too spooky yet i'm afraid  Cheesy

glamis has left all my presents except for the 31st un-numbered, so this evening i picked the parcel labelled 'into the hood...'

it contained an absolutely stunning autumn-ish jewellery holder straight from my wist- it's like a giant needle book, you can pin things like earrings and necklaces in place and then display them or carry them safely  Smiley

i didn't get a picture of the inside, which is forest green felt and a gorgeous green tartan, but the outside is all soft and velvet-y and the fawn's spots are (i think) made with fabric paint. glamis' stitches are immaculate  Shocked  it's SO. FREAKING. CUTE!! ....sorry to disappoint the gore fans  Tongue

Day 11-

today i picked up a beautiful cardboard box containing two days worth of presents, both cryptically labelled *spooky twilight zone noise...*
i had to ask my fianc to choose between 'shake me, baby!' and 'three of a kind', and he chose the latter- inside, i found three crocheted skull appliqus, one cute-ly gothic, one day of the dead style, and one (my favourite!) in turquoise with its own little beaded skull for detail. glamis and i must be on some psychic wavelength, as i'd tried crocheting something incredibly similar, before deciding to send something else in its place. i'm glad i didn't send mine, as glamis's are far more intricate and awesomely decorated Smiley here's the pic (you're all going to have to excuse the unmade bed!)

Day 10

so yesterday i opened the 'shake it' box.... and found this amazing pair of librarian-themed pasties based on the ones in my wist! Grin

i also received a second pair of pasties  Shocked which are sadly proving impossible to photograph in unnatural light- i'll have to try again tomorrow morning. they are covered in sequins in autumn-y browns, silvers and golds, with some red and blue stars thrown in. i love them! but will not be providing any 'action shots'  Cheesy !

sorry for my extended absence, chaps, the laptop's been on the fritz! now we return to your scheduled programming  Smiley

Day 9- I thought this package labelled 'yum yum' was a little too flat to contain halloween candy!

it's another of Glamis' awesome jewellery holders, like the forest animal themed one above, only perfectly sweet lolita this time  Smiley it beautifully matches the package i opened next, by complete coincidence (i suspect spirits are at work!  Cheesy)

Day 8- necklace, charm bracelet, phone charm, brooches And magnets made from beads and poly clay

my iphone camera isn't up to close-up shots (i'll try and bust out the 'family' cam when my laptop is acting more acceptingly towards new devices). my favourite has to be the red cupcake brooch, it has iridescent beads for 'sprinkles'  Cheesy it was around this stage that i started to appreciate just how far above and beyond Glamis has gone, and how wonderfully i have been spoiled! just look at what I opened next!!

Day 7- A dark red stovepipe (it's a little too tall to be a top hat!) with black netting and an actually-pretty-creepy-looking grey skull around the brim; packaged in a stunning flocked box with a heart-shaped section cut out- glamis asked me to use recyclable packaging for her parcels, and now i feel really stupid for not thinking to include 're-usable' under that category  Undecided

Day 6's parcel was labelled 'Random Mix', and my fianc opened the larger of the two packets, which contained bat-shaped haribo gummies- i think we all know by now that candy waits for no craftster Cheesy no pictures of that i'm afraid. the smaller packet contained this beautiful halloween-coloured, steampunk-ish charm bracelet-

it reminds me an awful lot of Deadwood, one of my favourite ever tv shows, the charms being a corset dress, a birdcage (with wee birdie attached) a penny farthing (Grin) a hand of cards, a gun, a decorative skull, and a beautiful open fan
again, my phone camera failed me on the details, but i got an action shot this time! and i think my sweet jewellery holder does a fantastic job of modelling once more  Smiley

Day 5- bookmarks! librarians can never have too many- the two cards i have are currently maxed out (shhh!) which means i have 40 books at home waiting to be started, finished, photocopied from, or taken back....
Glamis totally spoiled me with three different kinds- a crafty one, made from shrinky plastic and with a charm in the shape of a tiny pair of crane scissors- what an awesome slogan, by the way Cheesy!; a creepy one, where a poly clay zombie brain and foot are only connected by red, green and pink strands of embroidery silk; and my favourite, a cut out of Grindhouse's Cherry Darling, one-legged, pole-dancing, zombie-killing hottie  Kiss

Day 4- a particularly grey and rainy day here, so I opened the packet with 'the leaves are falling' on the label-

the earrings come straight from my wist, and i'm wearing them to work this sunday, where we're not allowed to dress up at all  Angry a subtle autumn reference is going to have to be enough to satisfy me until i get to take the train out of town for a party in the evening, but they're so beautiful and intricate, it's really not a hardship  Smiley the mushroom candles aren't out of their box yet, as the house is being redecorated- living room, hallway, staircase and landing  Undecided if they're not crushed by my dad or a builder then my stir-crazy cat will probably eat them! so i'm keeping them safe, but no way until next halloween!

Day 3

just, wow.

I think i mentioned a couple of times above that i have been spoiled beyond all belief by Glamis. This has just blown me away!

He really deserves a post all to himself on the needlecraft board. my favourite part has to be the reflection of Edward's face on his scissor blade- when i got the perspective right the second time i looked at the frame and worked out what it was meant to be, it almost brought a tear to my eye just like the movie! i really have no words to describe how impressed, lucky, grateful that i am to own this, and when i look at the parcel labelled 'do not open until the 31st', which Glamis has set apart as her best item, i can't even guess at how this swap could get even better! i feel like i owe Glamis a whole other bag of items, as i haven't spoiled her like this at all  Cry thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Day 2- the penultimate episode! I received a gorgeously creepy, as well as HUGE, chunky house, in my favourite shabby shades of cream-

i especially love the handmade paper backing- my mum sells this in her college supply shop and i always eye it enviously when i swing by to see her  Smiley

The 31st-

Y'all remember how I said that Glamis had spoiled me rotten?

It's my very own Sweeney Todd poppet, the first poppet I have ever received! I really can't thank Glamis enough, so I'm just going to let the pictures speak for themselves- suffice to say this is my best. halloween. ever!!

since i didn't dare let my cat near Sweeney- or let Sweeney near my cat  Tongue - here's a picture with one of my other swap plushies, Godric from true blood

I now know for sure that i'm going to have to dress as Mrs Lovett on one future halloween- i have the hair for it already  Cheesy

Thanks to everyone involved- especially Glamis! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!
