The top is made from Simplicity 2547, which is actually a Wizard of Oz costume pattern, which I got at Joannes for 99cents  This one is so simple to make!  The skirt was just trial and error, but it is easiest when you cut and stack the strips just the way you will sew them, then it goes together really fast.  I made the blue chambray yoke by making lots of big long darts to limit the volume of bunchiness at the waistline yet  still have it full enough to accomodate all the gathers on the first color tier.  It was a fun project, but truthfully, I was glad when I finished!

Too bad I don't hear voices, I would enjoy the company

She was incredibly kind to me, especially since I am an international swapper Cheesy
almost 2kg of fabric!! Cheesy

Prepare to be jealous ^^
The package arrived looking like this!

And the first thing I pulled out when it was ripped open was this FABULOUS silk! Cheesy

Followed closely by....

its a greeny/yellowy flowery cotton ^^ my mother has HINTED that she loves this so I think a christmas present of some sort will have to be made!

ZIPS!! Cheesy and RICRAC! And Elastic ^.^

This AWESOME checkerboard fabric ^^

This fabric is pre quilted? Its kinda orangy red the camera had a hard time picking the colour up!

White Cotton Cheesy you can never have too much of it ^^

A dark blue woven fabric I'm not a sure what it is Smiley it feels glorious!

A poly silk in bright red! This will be useful with halloween coming up!!

I love this fabric! is it a knit of some kind? its so soft and smooth, and it glides over the skin! and its a lovely purple colour ^^

and some perfectly shaded brown to help me finish a comission I've been putting on the long finger!

Nestled amongst the fabrics was this STUFFED baggie of buttons ^^ and a wee lil' buckle Cheesy and a short scrap of pink lace trim Smiley

I received from our fabulous swap coordinator, and kept forgetting to put up pics.  So here we go!

When I first opened the box- full to the brim:

First batch of stuff is for crochet: all sorts of yarn and crochet thread!  She even snuck in some roving and (more) yarn into the insides of the crochet thread rolls  Cheesy

Second bunch of stuff is for me to start bookbinding, from left to right: paper/cardstock, thread, embroidery thread, and in the little bags there's brads for scrapbooking and belt buckles to decorate.  There's also some long zippers on the side that I'll probably use for crochet bags.  And on the right, fabric for book covers!

And, crochet hooks!  I asked for big, fat crochet hooks and sunspotted delivered Smiley  These are huge and perfect for making chunky scarves and bags:

Picture of everything together (excluding the hooks, I had them in my hook roll and forgot to include them):

Thank you for everything, sunspotted!  I'm busily crafting away for your gift   Wink
