I want to take a pair of pumps and add something to go over the top of the foot so my foot stays in.

I have really high arches so my arches never touch the shoe and so my heel is always slipping out of the shoes when I walk. Thus I don't wear those shoes often (they're also pretty high...4 1/2 inches). So what kind of things can I do and how to go about it.

I was thinking something like adding ribbon and gluing it under the edge of the insole in the shoe and then have it go over top like that.

I just need any sort of random ideas shot out at me. I've only recently started to think about reconing shoes (I just added grommets to a pair of thigh high boots to lace them up. I will post pictures when I get the chance.) so I have no idea how to really go about working with shoes. I'm used to working with clothes! lol

Yes, you may attach a ribbon and tie it alternately up your legs in a criss cross pattern (Bohemian Style).

When I'm not making crafts, I'm dreaming them up!
