I came across this piece by Kurt Halsey that I think was on a journal or something. I loved it because it had a tug boat on it and my husband happens to work with Tug boats and barges. I decided that I would stitch it up in a hoop as a present. I finally finished the back and hung it up. I love this piece. Its my first hoopla piece too. (normally I stitch onsies, tea towels, and of course teacozies).
I added a little tiny "foss" to the barge at my hubby's request (thats the name of the maritime company he works for). The origional drawing was also in greens, grey and white however I made sure to use a green green as that is also Hubby's request (and work's color)

Here it is hanging on our wall

Very cool. Your stitching is great. It's so sweet and so creepy.
