Hey everyone - this is the pattern posted by "Flapperjack" a while ago - I finished the cabled tube top and then made a matching long sleeve shrug to go with it! I got so many compliments when i wore it out that night! Thanks flapperjack - great pattern & easy too!  I used 2 Skeins of Lion Jiffy, and a size 9 cir. needle - ( i couldnt find her original post with the pattern, but if anyone has that link, please post it here ) Thanks!

Cute!  I was thinking of making that--I love the addition of the shrug!

Yes _ I used the same yarn ( yellow jiffy ) and I cast on I think about a hundred or so stiches on a size 11 needle ( The number of stiches cast on will determine the length of the sleeve of the shrug , so if you want longer sleeves, cast on enough for that, etc ) then i just knit in garter for about 15" give or take a bit ( the height will be the circumference of the sleeve itself ) - I bound off and then basically had a really long , fairly thin rectangle that i sewed up each side halfway ( to make the sleeves) and there was my shrug!!

* SIDE NOTE - I later opened up the sleeves and kept the rectangle as a matching wrap - It just felt a little too bulky since the sweater itself is a little thick...

I am so loving this...even with the shrug!  Thanks for sharing.  I might have to make this for myself.  Was it a pretty quick knit?  I have some Jiffy laying around in yellow waiting to becoming something wonderful.

Samilynn-- That looks gorgeous! The Shrug is definitely a nice touch. I'm amazed at how popular my pattern's become, and I'm just so glad you're all having fun with it and adding your own ideas! Keep it up! Cheesy
