This turned out spectacularly well, IMHO! I've used the double iridized sandwich technique (see: http://www.glasscraftsman.com/216-MACorPC.pdf)  plus copper foil for details such as whiskers, nose, and claws. The back sheet of glass is black rainbow irid and the top is clear rainbow irid with symmetrically opposite designs etched onto the iridized side with Armour Etch creme. The final step was to slump it into a bowl mold.

This is a gift for my daughter. She just moved out and misses our little black cat who inspired this bowl. And here he is inspecting the bowl!

The Mockingjay Tribute (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=356674.0) was made with the same technique.

How beautiful! I haven't got a clue about the technique, but I know that I'd like one!
