Hi all,

I've done a search for this but no joy, so please be gentle with me if already been posted  Smiley

I've got some photo albums left over from uni that I want to turn into funky photo albums, but have no idea where to start as is very first project.

I was thinking of leaving the rings in and using card and tissue paper to protect the photos but am worried that pages will get ruined by the rings. Or is it best to remove rings and glue in pages?

Please help!

I did this once and used polly pockets to hold in the sheets as the rings just end up ruining the paper and card.

Thanx for the reply!

I was thinking of using poly pockets, but was worried that it mite look a bit unprofessional, did you decorate them in anyway?

No, I had planned to but never did. I have to admit that I am now in the process of moving them to sketch books filled with black paper. Don't let that put you off though, I was really young when I did this originally so it doesn't look good and the folder I used was very boring because I never got round to decorating that either.

I just finished making a photo album out of a binder.  I had sooo many pictures i wanted to put into one album, and figured that a regular scrapbook might not be able to handle it without falling apart in a year or so.  So, i used poly pockets(that is the clear plastic pages that you slip the paper into, right?), and put the pages of photos in them. so i was creative with the actual pages instead of the pockets themselves.  I have a sheet of wrapping paper with the design of an old map of Japan that I'm going to modge podge to the binder to make it more exciting (since the pics are from a trip around Asia).  and i think I'm going to get a piece of matching ribbon to tie around it to keep it shut.

Thanx for the tips guys, and your photo album sounds very cool Jujubecraftin, you will have to post the pics when you are finished!

I've got loads of souvenirs and theatre programmes to decorate with, so I think I'll start from there and see where it takes me, I think this is going to be a long one!  Cheesy
