I pretty much love the NBC Christmas run, too. All the old claymations, the Grinch, a Christmas Story, the old Miracle on 34th St. and It's a Wonderful Life, Charlie Brown Christmas, Muppet Christmas Carol, Scrooged, Mickey's Christmas Carol ..... the list goes on and on!

Ack! How could I have forgotten about It's a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story, The Grinch and Mickey's Christmas Carol?! In fact, NBC and I have a long-standing annual relationship starting the day after Thanksgiving.

How could I have forgotten??? Well, I am in Halloween mode  Cheesy

My all-time favorite Christmas movie is definitely White Christmas.  I'm a sucker for a musical!  Though I'm partial to claymation Rudolph, too!

Cheesy

As for a stocking, I would like something more traditional.  Unless my partner thinks of something that she/he thinks is just PERFECT for me.  Cheesy  I guess I'm not too helpful.

My fave Christmas movies are Olive, The Other Reindeer (wish I could find this on DVD - I recorded it off TV years ago, but no longer have a VCR), Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer, A Christmas Story, and of course, Christmas Vacation.

I'm hoping my partner will mark stuff to open now and stuff to open later. Being a single mom, there isn't anyone to fill my stocking. Well, I guess Marley might fill it with all her crayons and Little People.  Grin

With everyone talking about White Christmas, it makes me wonder if you all have ever seen Holiday Inn, which White Christmas is actually a sequel to. I think Holiday Inn is much better! And it is where the song White Christmas actually comes from.... Anybody else ever seen it?!?!

Love Ralphie in A Christmas Story - it's DH's fav (with parts filmed in Toronto, neat to see the old streetcars, and the downtown done up like that).  We have one of the animated ornament of the tongue the metal post scene..... "stuck... Stuck..... STUCK!!!!!!!!!".  But I LOVE the Charlie Brown Christmas, and actually love Scrooged too - especially the end credits because the Robbie Robertson song.

As to when I open the stockings, I think it would only be fair to negotiate that with my partner.
