Meant to post this ages ago....but as the weather here is finally not boiling hot maybe it's better that I'm posting it now.  Last year I was looking at my yarn stash and itching to try to make something octopus when I had this idea.  The adult size scarf was gifted to a friend last Christmas and the kiddie one is modeled by Lana.  Smiley  It was in part inspired by Lana's adventures with her hat, scarf, and gloves.  I thought combining the hat and scarf into one would at least be 1 less thing to have to keep track of.
It was fun working out the pattern.  It is just simple decreases, but working out the spacing to get the right length was a bit challenging.  Oh, I also should mention that the suckers are done in crochet.  Hehe.  Anyhow it was very fun and fast to knit up and it makes me smile.  Hope it makes you smile too.

scarf for my friend:

When worn:

I'm thinking of making a pink tentacle with green and turquoise suckers next.  Smiley
C & C welcome.
Have a wonderful crafty day!!!
