This last month of summer, I was getting pretty bored, so I thought the perfect thing to do was this challenge. Whenever I thought of pencils, the first thing I thought of was a pencil skirt, and so I had to find a way to make a pencil skirt, out of pencils. What I ended up doing was making a base skirt out of newspaper, then using this insanely sticky foam tape stuff to stick the pencils to. When that took only a couple hours, (rather then days, which I as hopeing for) I had to branch out. I started was an old school style shirt to go with the skirt out of my old schoolwork, and melted some wax into frilly heart shaped molds, which I had way to much fun with, and now have a lifetime supply of heart shaped crayons. I used them for buttons and embellishments. I also used the pencil packaging to make a book bag by gluing it to an old somewhat broken binder, and the crayon boxes to make some spiffy little sandals.  also used the crayon paper to make a headband, and make a flower out of crayons. I hope you like it!
Also, I almost forgot, but I am gifting this to my mom, to inspire her future crafting. Thanks for looking!

Wow. Just wow. At first I thought it was just the dress, and then you kept adding things that went with it. I am amazed! Excellent job on everything!

You are a PHENOM designer!  I'm in awe.  What do you do with it now?

This triple rocks!!! I just loved what you did with the pencils and crayons. I am not sure about sitting but standing that could be worn to a Halloween party or trick or treating. Very well made and that would be a winning design on Project Runway if they had to use school supplies.

Super impressed with your post! This outfit is wonderful, creative, colorful and inspiring. We should teach school children that everything has more than one use. I can't say enough about how this is such a wonderful entry. Good luck to you, you deserve the votes.  Grin
