I read about this & knew I had to craft for it.
This is for a doll drive called 'dolly donations' where the dolls are all handmade by crafty peeps like us & sent to be donated to an orphanage in Haiti.
There are more dolls needed...especially boy dolls... around 100+ by the end of October.

I thought this would be a great place to post this & draw some attention to it & maybe some fellow craftsters would be willing to give it a go for themself!

I made 7 dolls so far & am thinking about making more...they're kind of addictive once you've made one!

The pattern which is free to use for this cause & personal use not for profit was designed by Sarah Hanson... a mom & artist.  Wink

If I may post an outside link to direct craftsters to more info, here is a link all about the dolly donations drive: http://dollydonations.blogspot.com/2010/05/active-dolly-drive-free-kids-dolls-for.html
If this is violating craftster's rules, go ahead & remove it, but I'd really like interested folks to be able to get the contact info & whatnot straight from the source.  Wink

So cute! Aren't they fun to make? I made a batch a couple of weeks ago. Wish I had time to do more. Hopefully they will do it again later on.

Thanks Pam! I kind of feel guilty for how much fun this was to do!
