Good news for those who cannot eat gluten! A chiffon cake for you!

This version of chiffon cake is made of glutinous rice flour and rice flour. Due to the nature of rice texture, the cake turn out to be very souffl-like: light, fluffy and almost melt in your mouth.

Recently I am once again to love the classic chocolate + orange combo, and so I paired the cake with the candied orange peel. This is a holiday/thank you gift for the creative director in my office. From what I can recall, this combination seems to be widely acceptable for most guys, yeah, even the manly men ;p

Recipe can be found here:

This seems so delicious (especially with the great photography)!! I have both of those kinds of flour and have been looking for something to make. Thanks so much for sharing the recipe! but I have some questions: are you using just regular vegetable oil? How large is the cake (it looks tiny and cute!)? And, how does it stay in the pan if it's inverted while suspended on a bottle? Sorry for asking so much but I'd really like to try this.

Yes, it's a 4" tube cake pan (Serving is in the recipe, under the name)
Yes, I used regular vegetable oil, you can use any light flavour oil (so it doesn't interfere the cake flavour)
You don't flour or grease the pan, seriously, the cake will stick there while suspended on a bottle it's the nature of chiffon cake.  You can use a wooden knife or spatula to run around the side to remove it from the pan afterwards.

Hope this hope!
