I am starting to brainstorm for christmas gifts and I am completely at a loss for my father in law. I love making all of our christmas gifts for the family, this will be my third year in a row.

My father in law is handy and has lots of tools. He also travels a LOT for work. He is also pretty religious. I was thinking I wanted something that could help him while traveling or something he could keep with him all the time. I am making my brother in law a survival lanyard out of paracord but, do not want to send the same gift to both of them...any ideas? Not like there is a rush but, I want to start now so I am not freaking out in a few months, lol!

A travel shrine, a first-aid kit, a set of travel bags (toiletries, dirty clothes, shoe bags, for instance), a roll-up wrench (or other tool) holder, a package of travel diversions such as cross-words, sudoku, cards, puzzles, a passport/boarding pass holder if he travels internationally, luggage tags.

Nothing excites me more than finding a perfect matching shoe to a favorite handbag..

you could make him a 'get through airport security as easily as possible' kit, 3 oz. containers, nice socks, a list of contraband and a list of things not to forget, an easy to open laptop case if he brings his comp, a non-electronic pocket game (like a plastic puzzle type thing), maybe even a joke bribe!
good luck
