I claim jennilocker for "Knit gloves that are fingerless but have the mitten flap that pulls over them. " please pm me with some color ideas!

This is my 1st claim out of 3. 0 sent, 0 received.

Hello! My name's Diana and I'm from southern California.
I live with my husband whom i recently married (Sept. 5th, 2008), my chihuahua mixed dog, Georgie and the newest addition to our family, my rat terrier dog Sophie. I'm a part time domestic goddess, but a full time art geek. I go to a local community college and am a studio arts major (drawing and multimedia emphasis). My favorite color scheme is pink-black-white. My favorite colors in order are pink, red, seafoam green, electric blue, and red-violet. I love polka dots, circles, argyle, and plaid. I also currently have an obsession with zebra stripes. I also love leopard print but in unnatural colors (I really dont like the orangey yellow and black spot). I have more info and links to my wist, facebook, etc on my profile.

For my boy dog, I love to see him in primary colors and anything you would typically associate with a little boy (like race cars, rocket ships, etc). He's typically a size "Small", but if you need any measurements I have them around here somewhere. He loves rope toys, plushies, and any treats that look and smell like something you would eat yourself.

For my girl dog, I kind of like to dress her like i would dress myself lol lots of pink, black, white, red, and purple. Lots of patterns esp. zebra print and leopard print.

For my hubby, his favorite color combination is blue-black-white. He prefers solid colors, stripes, and minimal designs.

Allergy note: I have a wool sensitivity, mostly around sensitive areas like my neck and my forehead. I have extremely sensitive skin, so no soaps or lotions with a lot of chemicals/artificial ingredients. Hypoallergenic, home made, or organic skin products only. My hubby is allergic to cat hair, so please wash anything that might be in contact with a cat.

My favorite scents are Vanilla, Strawberry, and Citrus.

I claim laura3850 for a girl's nightgown!

This is my first claim this round!

My name is Karen and I live in Austin, TX with my <s>almost</s>  teenaged dd (who typically ends up with most of my swap items  Wink ), a huge, goofy lab-mix and a lovely, prissy cat.

I love designs from the 60's and early 70s (think mod & flower power). I used to have a 1974 VW Thing and I miss it a lot! I also love Asian designs in fabric and artwork. I was born in the year of the Dragon and I just love them! And English Bulldogs (cute, not fierce).  I love anything magical/wonderous including fairies and Alice in Wonderland.  Also, pretty much any Amy Butler fabric.

I would love anything from my wist : www.wists.com/luckdragon but especially the things below.  I prefer practical things that can be used.  My favorite colors are bolder/earthy tones to 60s mod.  Blues/greens/tangerine/black/white/deep red (again, examples in my wist).

ALSO, when I was MUCH younger, I found a pattern/instructions in a craft magazine/family magazine for a fabric Nativity Scene had the family, the wise men, and even some animals like a camel.  ANYWAY, I made several of the pieces and my mom still has them drags them out every year.  I would love to find that magazine again so my daughter could add to my mom's collection.  Sooo if in your travels, if you happen to find a magazine or pattern that sounds like that (circa 1975 1978) I would be eternally grateful and love you forever!!   - I can provide you more details

I claim jennilocker for a wisty surprise Smiley

4th claim claim this round; 1 sent; 1 received

I'm Sarah & I'm a stay-at-home mom in Chicago. I have 2 sons: Cooper, almost 3, & Dexter, almost 1. In my previous life I was a lawyer for abused & neglected kids & someday maybe I'll do that again. We're currently trying to sell our house to move about two hours away, but aren't having much luck yet because of the crappy housing market. Unfortunately, my husband already took a job there so he's been commuting 4 hours a day for almost a year. We've had a rough year to say the least! Husband gone a lot + 2 toddlers (who are terrible sleepers on top of everything!) + keeping the house clean for showings = one stressed out mommy! Luckily, crafting is my escape so I do it whenever I can. Smiley I also love spending time outside with my kids - we go to the zoo regularly, go on picnics a couple times a week, & spend time in the yard or park whenever we can. I'm a proud & public extended breastfeeding mommy and we use cloth diapers. In general, I try to be as green (& frugal) as possible. If I had any more free time I would enjoy cooking & reading, but it's been a while since I've had any real time for either of those!

I love orange. I'm not a huge fan of purple. I like everything else. I probably don't like neons too much. I LOVE batik & ombre stuff. I have way too many, but I still adore bags. I dont carry a regular purse, but I adore messenger style bags. I love Dr. Seuss (especially Oh, The Places You'll Go) & I really like whimsical designs. I prefer useful items to knick knacks, especially because we're trying to declutter in preparation for moving.

I'm starting to collect gifts for my sons' birthdays (both are in October) as well as gifts for Christmas, so some of the stuff on my list is for gifts, but most of it is stuff for me 'cause I've had a rough year & I deserve it!! LOL

We have no allergies, but I get migraines from cigarette smoke so I'm very sensitive to that. Other than that, I try to avoid nuts & artificial sweeteners, and the smell of patchoulli & vanilla (although I don't imagine any of that would be an issue!).

I put items of all different sizes on here 'cause #1 I don't always know what size it is, especially if it's not a craft I do normally, & #2 I figure I have enough of a selection that someone can pick & choose what they want. (Who knows? Maybe someone's really dying to make me a large item! LOL)

***SUPER BIG WISH*** a shrug similar to these
The brown one is most like what Im looking for, but maybe something less bulky & more fitted (maybe stretchy).

**Big wish** This skirt
I like the quote on it or you could PM me if you wanna make it & Ill think of others I like. Im open to suggestions too!

* Monster hats, horns, or tails. (Not necessarily exactly like the links, but that's what I'm using for inspiration!) Cute, not scary. I'm planning a monster themed party for Cooper's 3rd/Dexter's 1st birthday & I want to give out hats/horns & tails to all the kids (probably 12, ranging in age from 1 to 4 years old) as favors & to wear at the party. I'm planning on making them all, but if you wanna make a couple for me that would be great! I'm going for variety & safety (since all the kids are so young!)

* A monster (cute, not scary) pull string pinata

* Any other cute monster item(s) you think I could use for a 1st/3rd monster-themed birthday party. PLEASE PM me with your idea/plan before claiming me to make sure I can use it Smiley

* Kids coat rack or hangers. I adore this.

* Kids storage/organization stuff. I adore everything on this site (but not the pink girly stuff).

* Any of the clothes for me that I have on my wist. I love them all & I'm finally back to pre-baby weight & new clothes to celebrate that would be great!

* I could really use a nice wallet. I have several on my wist. I really need one that will hold LOTS of cards & stuff.

* Table top ironing mat

* Baskets for storage (or anything for storage really!) - fabric baskets, or coiled fabric or plarn, or anything else you can come up with. They'll be for my crafting items or kids' toys so colors/designs for me or kids are great. I'd really like one that's boyish or gender neutral that says "no-no basket" or "penalty bin" or something like that for toys I have to take away for the day (my son has a habit of throwing toys so anything thrown gets confiscated for the day!)

* Natural moth balls. Theres a tutorial here and some on Etsy here, but Im fine with any version (as long as it works!).

* A gift for my brother (for Christmas) - Id love something inspired by the Old Spice commercials, or possibly the most interesting man in the world, or Chuck Norris. An Amigurumi character would be great.

* A stuffed animal hammock like this Thanks witchybelle4u2! Smiley

* Educational or imaginative games/toys for the kids. Cooper always loves the alphabet & animals & is currently obsessed with maps. We love The Hungry Little Caterpillar & books by Sandra Boynton, particularly the little Pookie books, so anything inspired by those would be great. ** Thanks ChrisSews! We would love more Smiley

* Hair accessories - I usually dont wear them, but Im in that horrible growing-out-bangs phase so Id love some little barrettes (the snap clip kind) and/or stretchy headbands like on my wist. Thanks frosty772!

* Dress up items for Cooper (& eventually Dexter). We already have a superhero cape & an apron. Playsilks would be great too.

* Any of the breastfeeding items on my wist: http://www.wists.com/SAHMama/breastfeeding ** Thanks rlynn! Smiley

* A medical alert bracelet or tag for my husband, who has Type 2 Diabetes. This one is cool.

* Anything on my wist. I also have stuff in my Etsy favorites & favorite projects in my profile.

NEW * Handknit socks (size 9)

NEW * Hand spun/hand dyed yarn

NEW * Tie dye socks (size 9, preferably rainbow)

NEW * Removable crochet stitch markers

NEW * Polymer clay wrapped crochet hooks (any size)

NEW * Project bag for crochet - I love the style of this one (although I don't like the fabric)

NEW * Beginner crochet kit
* Yarn - preferably natural fibers. I'm just starting to crochet so any crochet supplies are appreciated. Smiley
* Medium/heavy weight iron on interfacing
* Knit fabric. Maybe jersey or interlock, but anythings probably good. I prefer solid, darker colors. Black or grey would be great.
* Anything for storage of sewing supplies. I have lots of ribbon (on spools & loose), thread, elastic, zippers, velcro, & other odds & ends that need spiffy new (or new to me) homes.
* snap press (used is fine!)
* zippers
* Grommet punch  & grommets

* Clear plastic bags from packages of bedding, onesies, shower curtains,etc. I plan to use them as project bags.
* Pink grapefruit tea
* Hot chocolate (I dont like dark or white chocolate)
* Candy - anything that's not hot. I also like milk chocolate (I dont like dark or white chocolate)
* Good diabetic recipes (basically low cal, low fat, low carb, and no artificial sweeteners); we just found out DH has Type II Diabetes
* Bento stuff - boxes or accessories
* used or thrift clothing with fabric I can use (interesting  prints or textures)
* fabric scraps

THANKS! Smiley

I am going through a divorce and life is pretty different then what I the thought it would be last year or even the year before. I am trying to get my life somewhat on track with a long way to go. I am just getting  to the point I can somewhat take care of me and one day will be stable enough to take care of my kids with out worries.I love living on the ocean I stay with friends on the beach it is hard with 5 in a 2 bedroom but it is a ton of money to try and rent a one bedroom so do what we have to do as starving college kids. About Me:
I am a 28 year old massive geek, no kids, one tiny puppy, and an addiction to crafts.  I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Im a teacher at an elementary school which is challenging but so rewarding.  I am a tomboy, in no way a girly girl, but I love making girly things for my sisters and my friends.  Smiley  Im about to become an Aunt for the first time this February and I cant wait to spoil my little neice!  Like I said Im a geek, I love all things Mac, and typical nerd things like Star Wars, comics, and Harry Potter, etc.  Oh, and let me throw my unhealthy obsession with Glee in there.
