Here are my latest projects, started and finished in one weekend when I found myself not working even though I was scheduled to. The first, A quote from the "Brand New Day" song in Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog (which if you haven't seen, you must go watch now. Its incredible)

The second, is a blue french horn (which of course, is referring to How I Met Your Mother)

I am giving both, and the xkcd embroidery I posted here https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=352861.msg4121950#msg4121950 in matching frames to my boyfriend to decorate his dorm room (its now tradition to make him a surprise for when he moves in at the beginning of each year). As you can see, the Dr Horrible one wasn't all that well planned out, as it doesn't fit in the mat like the french horn does. Also, they're in frames and they're wrinkly. But I don't care. He's a boy. He won't notice. Smiley

Awesome! Did you free-hand draw the French horn, or trace it, or what?  It looks great!

Aw, Doctor Horrible!  It's a great show, and that's a fun song!  Cute birds =)

I use the sticky-backed cardboard things from craft stores a lot, to minimize wrinkles. I'm not sure how well that works with real cloth, though: I cross-stitch, and usually use Aida, which is pretty heavy.

Heheh, that's one of my favorite songs from the movie.  Well, actually, all of the songs are my favorite.  Still, love it!

These are both amazing!!  Shocked The blue french horn is one of my favorite icons in How I Met Your Mother, and I've been constantly searching for one for my own house, and now I think that embroidering one would be a good alternative =]  Well done!
