My sister is having a baby soon. For the shower, I'd like to get her some books to read to the baby. I'd also like to get her something (relatively) nice to store them in, but I'm not sure what. A fancy book box, like in Inkheart? A fabric tote she can carry around? A milk crate sort of thing? What would be best?

Whatever I get, it needs to be inexpensive (under $40,) and have a flat surface I can paint or draw on. Also, I would rather not pay shipping, so it needs to be something I can find locally at craft stores or department stores.

Any ideas? Links and/or pictures would be nice.

My DIL just uses a square basket with cut out handles to put all the books the baby received. Makes it so much easier to take the books from his bedroom to the family room. It came with her kitchen so it's like a drawer basket. I find it very convenient since I'm with the baby most of the day and love reading to him. Okay, I love reading the pictures to him.lol Hope that helps.
