Sorry I havent posted in awhile.  School has been a bit crazy lol

My partner and i have decided on two aprons (one full and one half) I have the full one done (I like it!! I hope she feels the same about it) and have cut out the pattern for the half one.  I just need to decide on my fabrics and with that said im hoping to have it out this week sometime as the apron itself shouldnt take any time at all to sew.

Alright, wewilltaketothesea's package came yesterday and it is fantastic.

First we have a modern curved mauve and yellow number:

From the side, so you can get a better idea of how the pockets worked out:

My husband is a big fan of this one.  He likes the pockets and curve of it alot.  I think it's made to be worn with a denim skirt.

Next (we decided to do two) is Totoro!

Wewilltaketothesea saw that my last swap was a Miyazaki swap, so she embroidered Totoro for me.  Close up of the cuteness:

And finally:

My thoughts exactly.  Smiley

Glad you like them, Marie! I didn't know much about that Totoro fellow before this swap, but in looking up pictures of him, he seems very cute and lovable. Maybe I should check out some Miyazaki films.  Cheesy

Thanks for being a great swap partner!

My Neighbor Totoro is my favorite movie! You'll like Miyazaki's work. I also recommend Kiki's Delivery Service, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away and Ponyo to start off.

Cute aprons!

I've been a little lazy about getting this up here but here we go!!

I wanted a full, functional apron from my lovely partner Glinks and she did so awesome I can't even believe it!  Check it out:

Full pic of apron with 2 matching hot pads!

Here's a close-up of the adorable little cupcakes along the edge.  She must be psychic or something because I love little cupcakes and that's what I have on the only other apron I own! (hence me doing this swap lol)

I wanted an apron that was super duper functional with all the bells and whistles and that's just what I got.  The apron has hot pad corners AND a little loop to put a spoon or other tool.  (Which is perfect for me)

And once again, so you can all be properly jealous here's another full picture:

I think all the aprons are cute so far - but I'm super stoked that I got this one.. I used it right after I got it to make lunch!!  Thanks so much, Glinks!  Can't wait to see what you think of yours Smiley Smiley
