This is my first post so be gentle!

Posed artsy shot!!

Made with peyote stitch using Toho 11/0 round "Treasure Beads" in a pale pink and black.

and the chart

I am a little disappointed with the paleness of the pink.  Against the black, it looks white.  I used the "big eye" beading needles for the first time and loved them.  My only complaint is that they made the cheapish thread I was using fray.  I'm going to finally make the investment and order Miyuki delicas to work with.  I just wanted to get my feet wet with a small project before finally ordering beads online.  I'd love to hear about your favorite delica distributors.
Where did I put my pliers this time???

Very nice. I love the look of it.
Perhaps a darker pink next time though.

Very nice! Is it too difficult for a beginner you think? I am taking my first bead stitching class this fall but I saved your chart for the future Smiley

Very nice.  I might have added another row of just black to each of the long edges.....but maybe not....

My current favorite place to order Delica beads is http://www.firemountaingems.com/seedbeads.asp?navsrc=2, but you do have to order a bunch to make the price discounts.  Since I like so much stuff there anyway, ordering 50 items each time is not difficult, but sometimes the bill can be scary.

Obsessed with Monster High dolls lately.

I feel that it is a very easy pattern as long as you get the hang of peyote stitch.  I found some wonderful tutorials online that I'd be happy to dig up for you if you need them Smiley
