S-s-sock it to me, baby.

My cat is also an excellent -- albeit slightly terrified -- model.

It was made with the Sock-It-To-Me glove pattern from Knit Picks.  Right here, for $2.  http://www.knitpicks.com/cfpatterns/pattern_display.cfm?ID=10065220

The yarn I used was Alpaca with a Twist "Socrates", color Macaw.  It is gorgeous and I love it.  http://www.alpacawithatwist.com/products.htm#

This picture is a little more true to color.

The first glove I knit, I cinched the tops of the fingers up, as per the pattern.  But I hate that, so I grafted the other hand's fingertips and much preferred it.  I also turned the glove inside out when I was weaving in the ends to help close up some of the holes between the fingers.

This was my first excursion knitting something with fingers, and if you have been too intimidated like I was, STOP THAT.  Go ahead and do it.

Kudos! Great job. I can't knit at all (just crochet), but one of these days I'm having my best friend teach me... Also I like that your cat was your model, what a cute kitty!

omg why do you have to be the cutest person ever?

And your cat is adorable - and only looks slightly terrified.

These turned out great! The color matches your eyes Smiley. They look to be the perfect fit too.

Gloves are like socks for me, I can knit one but never manage to finish the second one.

These came out great! The color is really fab! I've never made gloves before, but I'm not really sure I'd have the patience to knit all those fingers...yours look really good though Smiley

Definitely don't be afraid to do it.  I thought there would be some fancy technique, but really you're just leaving all the other stitches on the hand alone and pulling the two opposite sides of the finger closed.  Easy as Shari's pie!

And thanks for the wonderful comments!
