Love the bag!!! Want to make a patchwork one, and this looks fantastic!!  Grin. Will have to go and buy a zip, and choose some fabrics from the stash.
Thanks for giving me inspiration!

I was just searching for a good bag to make for a Christmas present and this is perfect. Thanks so much for the tutorial.

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Thanks so much for this tut.  I am in desperate need of a purse, and I don't have $200 to spend on a decent looking hobo bag!

Hi @ everybody
I'm a newbie and that was my first zipper-try. I looked at this tut for like 4 days and today i was at walmart and i saw that awesome strawberry fabric and i had to have a purse made out of it... I totally love it... On both sides of the zipper I did a stitch that I think looks really cool and i made it a little bigger cause it has to hold all my stuff...(and that's a lot) Tomorrow I'm going to get a strap for it... After the  bag was finished I covered the handle-stubs on the inside with lining fabric, now it looks better... but take a look yourself...

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the goal to arrive safe and sound in an attractive and well preserved body but rather skit in sideways, Chardonnay in one and Strawberries in the other hand, the body completely wrecked and used and at the same time cheering WOW, what a ride

so i finally finished the hobo bag i started on months ago... well before nursing school started in august...

all i had left to do was attach the strap, but for some reason i thought it may very well be the death of me, and since i had nursing school to look forward to, i put it off for a little while.

But here it is, very modest, and in all its hot pink glory.

awesome. i really like it in all one color...very simple yet still makes a bright/loud statement. i'll have to try that in all one leather or vinyl color. Smiley
