I'm super pumped about finally seeing Rob Zombie live at Mayhem Fest next week!!! WOOOO!!!  So I guess it filtered into my crafting!  Cheesy

This is my second polymer project so I know I have a lot of learning to do! Including learning how to make beards, lol.  And it doesn't help that he usually has about 12 different hair colors going at any one time :p

I had fun so I guess that's what matters most! Any tips or tricks that anyone would like to add would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know who Rob Zombie is, but from your portrayal I think I'd recognize him in a flash!!  Grin

You're right--having a good time with what clay stuff IS what matters most!

As for the hair and beards, you can get some other ideas on how to do them on the Sculpting-Bodies page of my polymer clay encyclopedia site:
...click on the categories called Hair and Beards,Mustaches, Animal Whiskers
Maybe this page too if you want to use a (small) clay gun to make hair extrusions:

And if you're interested in more lessons, tips, examples, etc. re sculpting, check out these pages in addition to the one above:
http://www.glassattic.com/polymer/armatures-perm.htm (nec. for larger sculpts or those with thin parts)
And there will be more sculpting (often themed, but still helpful) on these pages as well:
http://www.glassattic.com/polymer/Halloween_etc.htm (&holidays)
http://www.glassattic.com/polymer/gifts_men_teachers.htm > Gifts (babies, cake toppers, etc)

Cute!  I saw him twice.  One at Merry Mayhem in '01 and again at Ozzfest in '05.  If he's still going as strong, you're in for a good show.  Not sure if he still does the big stage productions.  He had stopped that the second time I saw him.  Shame, because the full crazy stage set is waaaaay better.  Robots, video screens, etc.

.... realizing that Merry Mayhem was almost 9 years ago... I feel old!!!!

Thanks for the comments guys! =)

@Diane, wow, thank you so much for the links, I will check those out!!!

@Blitherypoop, sounds like some awesome shows!  I'm not sure if he still does the big productions or not.  He'll be co-headlining with KoRn so I have a feeling whatever he does will be scaled down anyway just due to time restraints. I'm soooo excited!! KoRn and Zombie are my faves and I get both of them in one night!! EEEEEEEEEE!!!  Grin

He was sub-headlining under Ozzy when I saw him do a big stage show.  They both did.  Ozzy's was tacky and blasphemous, Zombie's was colorfull and retro.  If you watched the first season of The Osbournes, I was at the show they did right before xmas.  I was only a few rows back from the camera.

For those who haven't heard him, imagine funk mixed with heavy metal and old horror movie music and you get a pretty good idea.  Rythmic, crunchy, loud, and spooky.
Happy Crafting!
