Hey Ladies!!

My husband and I got married November 12, 2010 in Vegas and we are going to have our reception with everyone who could not make it (which is everyone except our parents and two of my friends)

My colors are purple and orange and "theme" is "Lucky in Love" with a punk twist.

I'm thinking about having it at a local bowling alley because they have an awesome hall for very inexpensive.

I'm just having problems thinking about what to make for the table decor/favors and whatnot.

Any suggestions?

We are definitely not traditional, so not sure if the flower centerpieces are right right idea...

I have seen some things but nothing I really love yet.

Any suggestions or help?

I didn't want flower centerpieces either, so I ended up with beautiful glass "goblet" type candle holders filled with teal water - they turned out great!  Try shopping at Kirklands Home or other home good places... that's where I finally found  my inspiration!

Soooo, I have been doing some thinking and brainstorming with two of my coworkers and I think I have a plan of attack  Grin

I'm going to make those record bowls (where you put the record over a bowl in the oven as seen here http://offbeatbride.com/2010/02/diy-record-bowl )

Going to fill those with things from here  http://www.orientaltrading.com/party-themes-and-events-a1-388560-1-0.fltr

All sticking with the "rock star" theme!

Getting excited for it. Only thing putting a damper on everything is we haven't been able to pick a date yet... We are going to Virginia in April with his band, but do not know the exact date yet and his parents want to go to Ireland in May for a week, so can not do anything without them here. I don't really want to push it back until June because we want to go back to Vegas with some friends... and I do not want it in March because the weather here in Wisconsin will still be icky and I feel that is too soon to be able to invite people. Argh!!  Undecided

Hopefully we will figure everything out soon...
