Thanks, folks! Very kind! I would have thought it was a little ambitious, too, from the outside looking in, but if you could see the pattern, you'd know that it's a perfect first time project! I think I may make one for my niece now, because it was SO MUCH FUN!!!

My goodness you've completely inspired me!!! Your DD is adorable & that pony is equally cute!
I'm a knitter & have trouble working out the crochet stitches. I'm looking at this & thinking, well if she could do it, maybe it would be possible for me too. So far all I've done is babydoll hats for my girl. Maybe we'll give this another try.

Great job! I have that book, been crotcheting for years but I put the eyes in cockeyed, yours is much better ! The boy and girl doll at the front of that book are georgous too - alot better than they look in the book, happy crotcheting, you clearly have the nack! Xx
