I made this quilt following the quilt-a-long on Obsessively Stitchinghttp://obsessivelystitching.blogspot.com/2010/04/first-quilt-ever.html blog.  It took almost 2 months exactly to make.

I folded over the quilt on the left side so you can see the back a little bit.  This was so much fun to make, I really enjoyed free-motion quilting.  It's far from perfect but it's the first.

I have seen this design before but seeing your quilt makes me want to make it. I picked some fabrics for a quilt that my aunt was going to make when I got married but it was too busy with the pattern I wanted. We bought new fabric that would go with the pattern and have the first fabrics just waiting to be made a quilt.

This was your first time? I can only wish that my first quilt looked that good. You definitely have a talent for this. Wink

Thank you everyone for the great comments.  I am really encouraged to keep making more.  I do want to say that the fabrics came pre-arranged at fabricworm.com.  I just picked out the color bundle that I liked, which saved me a lot of time picking out fabrics myself.

Wow - you did an incredible job with your first quilt. The bright colors are just fabulous! I can't wait to see more!! Your free motion quilting looks awesome and the binding looks great - I really like how it's a combo of fabrics.

Congrats on finishing. Hope to see more soon!
