Yet another birdie sling... I think its time to retire this pattern for me Cheesy

This one is for *me*  Cheesy

Modifications include:
  • inner handles match liner instead of outer fabric
  • bottom border (slightly stiffer interface for structure)
  • key fob - hard to see but you see the lobster claw at the bottom.  follow the fabric up to the band to see where its attached.
  • zippered/lined pocket.  This was a first time attempt to add to this pattern.  Once the pocket was in, it was good but I wanted it secured to the lining.  So I used the inside pocket and sewed around the edge of that pocket including the liner of the zipped pocket.  I also stitched along the top of the liner which can be seen in the bag.  Next time, i would put the pocket higher so that the top of the liner matched the seam at the top of the liner piece.  Taht way it would naturally get sewn right into the band.  Live and learn...

Hope you enjoy!

The zipper and inner pocket is cool because they overlap nicely.  i sewed the inner pocket to the liner down the middle of the pocket to split it first.  Then sewed the rest of the pocket on including the zipper pocket lining.

Love, love, love the fabric! Chinese lanterns are one of my fave plants, I remember being so sad when we only had on little lantern blooming (is that right? forming?). I've tried growing them in AL where I now live but they didn't sprout.

And on your sling note, it looks awesome, really like the inner pockets.
