I claim babalina58 for:
~ purse like this LOVE THE YELLOWS Or this in PINK

This is my first claim this round (& in a LONG time)!

I'm Sarah & I'm a stay-at-home mom (duh) in Chicago. I have 2 sons: Cooper, almost 3, & Dexter, almost 1. In my previous life I was a lawyer for abused & neglected kids & someday maybe I'll do that again. We're currently trying to sell our house to move about two hours away, but aren't having much luck yet because of the crappy housing market. Unfortunately, my husband already took a job there so he's been commuting 4 hours a day for almost a year. We've had a rough year to say the least! Husband gone a lot + 2 toddlers (who are terrible sleepers on top of everything!) + keeping the house clean for showings = one stressed out mommy! Luckily, crafting is my escape so I do it whenever I can. Smiley I also love spending time outside with my kids - we go to the zoo regularly, go on picnics a couple times a week, & spend time in the yard or park whenever we can. I'm a proud & public extended breastfeeding mommy and we use cloth diapers. In general, I try to be as green (& frugal) as possible. If I had any more free time I would enjoy cooking & reading, but it's been a while since I've had any real time for either of those! I love orange. I'm not a huge fan of purple. I like everything else. I probably don't like neons too much. I LOVE batik & ombre stuff. I have way too many, but I still adore bags. I dont carry a regular purse, but I adore messenger style bags. I love Dr. Seuss (especially Oh, The Places You'll Go) & I really like whimsical designs. I prefer useful items to knick knacks, especially because we're trying to declutter in preparation for moving.

I'm starting to collect gifts for my sons' birthdays (both are in October) as well as gifts for Christmas, so some of the stuff on my list is for gifts, but most of it is stuff for me 'cause I've had a rough year & I deserve it!! LOL

We have no allergies, but I get migraines from cigarette smoke so I'm very sensitive to that. Other than that, I try to avoid nuts & artificial sweeteners, and the smell of patchoulli & vanilla (although I don't imagine any of that would be an issue!).

I put items of all different sizes on here 'cause #1 I don't always know what size it is, especially if it's not a craft I do normally, & #2 I figure I have enough of a selection that someone can pick & choose what they want. (Who knows? Maybe someone's really dying to make me a large item! LOL)

***SUPER BIG WISH*** a shrug similar to these: http://www.wists.com/SAHMama/shrug
The brown one is most like what Im looking for, but maybe something less bulky & more fitted (maybe stretchy).

**Big wish** This skirt: http://www.wists.com/SAHMama/e825bdbc7eb48ecb27dd1aa9abee27d4?offset=0
I like the quote on it or you could PM me if you wanna make it & Ill think of others I like. Im open to suggestions too!

* Any of the clothes for me that I have on my wist. I love them all & I'm finally back to pre-baby weight & new clothes to celebrate that would be great!

* I could really use a nice wallet. I have several on my wist. I really need one that will hold LOTS of cards & stuff.

* A Dr. Who scarf (sorry, this is probably way more than a medium; I just don't know 'cause I don't do any real knitting or anything) for DH for Christmas

* Baskets for storage (or anything for storage really!) - fabric baskets, or coiled fabric or plarn, or anything else you can come up with. They'll be for my crafting items or kids' toys so colors/designs for me or kids are great. I'd really like one that's boyish or gender neutral that says "no-no basket" or "penalty bin" or something like that for toys I have to take away for the day (my son has a habit of throwing toys so anything thrown gets confiscated for the day!)

* Natural moth balls. Theres a tutorial here: http://www.simplesteps.org/articles/diy-diva-natural-moth-balls-0 and some on Etsy here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/18836353/moth-repellent-sachets?ref=sr_gallery_12&ga_search_query=moth+balls&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=&order=&includes, but Im not picky.

* Swiffer covers - I got some before & love them, but I need more so I can clean the floor more often without doing laundry Smiley

* Diaper pail deodorizer

* A gift for my brother (for Christmas) - Id love something inspired by the Old Spice commercials, or possibly the most interesting man in the world, or Chuck Norris. He wears a med or large shirt, but only wears dark colors. Or an Amigurumi character would be great.

* A stuffed animal hammock like this: http://www.wists.com/SAHMama/toy/75628eeed60aa18989d3ef52781f6d4a?offset=0

* Educational or imaginative games/toys for the kids. Cooper always loves the alphabet & animals & is currently obsessed with maps. We love The Hungry Little Caterpillar & books by Sandra Boynton, particularly the little Pookie books, so anything inspired by those would be great.

* Hair accessories - I usually dont wear them, but Im in that horrible growing-out-bangs phase so Id love some little barrettes (the snap clip kind) and/or stretchy headbands like on my wist.

* Dress up items for Cooper (& eventually Dexter). We already have a superhero cape & an apron. Playsilks would be great too.

* Any of the breastfeeding items on my wist: http://www.wists.com/SAHMama/breastfeeding

* Felt food - we can't get enough & the boys love it!

* Anything on my wist. I also have stuff in my Etsy favorites & favorite projects in my profile.

* Medium/heavy weight iron on interfacing
* Knit fabric. Maybe jersey or interlock, but anythings probably good. I prefer solid, darker colors. Black or grey would be great.
* Anything for storage of sewing supplies. I have lots of ribbon (on spools & loose), thread, elastic, zippers, velcro, & other odds & ends that need spiffy new (or new to me) homes.
* snap press (used is fine!)
* zippers
* Grommet punch  & grommets

* Clear plastic bags from packages of bedding, onesies, shower curtains,etc. I plan to use them as project bags.
* Pink grapefruit tea
* Hot chocolate (I dont like dark or white chocolate)
* Candy - anything that's not hot. I also like milk chocolate (I dont like dark or white chocolate)
* Good diabetic recipes (basically low cal, low fat, low carb, and no artificial sweeteners); we just found out DH has Type II Diabetes
* Bento stuff - boxes or accessories
* used or thrift clothing with fabric I can use (interesting  prints or textures)
* fabric scraps

THANKS! Smiley

I claim SAHMama for breastfeeding tees for her and her sons

6th claim, 2 outstanding, 3 received

My name is Robin and I live in Oregon, USA.  I am a quarter Japanese, quarter Korean, quarter Jewish, quarter German (100% Mutt... yes!). I am married to Phil a fantastic cook who spoils me with delicious meals; good thing or all we'd eat would be steamed rice and veggies.  We have a 2 year old toddler named Aria who is proverbial light of our lives.  I am a feminist who is raising my daughter in an anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-homophobic household.

I am all over the board, I like whimsical, edgy, bohemian, steampunk, pretty, bold, soft, hardI wear a lot of black and gray, but Ive been branching out into the wondrous color wheel.  I love red and turquoise together. I prefer rich, jewel tone colors and earthy colors! I find myself mostly drawn to blues and greens.  I like images of birds, squirrels, mice, and trees, but I also really like skulls, anatomy, skeletons (especially of birds and other non-human creatures), and old locomotives.  You can check out my wist to get a better idea of what I like. wisty surprises are always nice.

a quick note if you claim anything for my daughter...we arent into cartoon branded stuff.  i cant stand barbie or bratz.  we dont dislike pink but we try to stay away from anything overwhelmingly girly.  she likes the ocean, digging in the dirt, burying herself in sand, and splashing in water.  for these reasons durable and washable is always good.  thanks!

Some of my wishes, BIG wishes in bold  Grin

*Fabric buckets to organize toys, craft supplies, etc... (A2K made me some in a past round, would love more)

*dinosaur playmat (Aria has a lovely tote of dinos that came with icky plastic playmats printed with dino like landscapes...would love to replace them with something less plastic, maybe painted and sealed canvas mat or simple fabric one???) maybe 15 by 20 inches would be a good size?

*car playmat (similar to the dino but with roads and such...sort of like this one http://wists.com/Rlynn/toy/4ebc993391957a7ee19e21e1eb4f2e99 but feel free to use a diff medium)

*address labels w/a cute little design, bird maybe? (our address is long and annoying to write out)

*appliqued, stenciled, embellished tees, etc... for Aria (Size 2T or 3T) we prefer themes like robots, pirates (she has a skully P is for Pirate tee already), ninjas, rockets, squids, dinosaurs, jellyfish... we also like birds but please nothing super girly or overwhelmingly pink.

NEW*the stargate atlantis logo on a red or black zip hoodie, womens L preferred

*tiny creatures - i am hoping to put together a village and forest playtable (think a cross between a train table and doll house) for aria by the time she's 3 or so.  i need cute little creations for the table.  i have stuff wisted http://wists.com/Rlynn/play-table that id like for it but whatever youd like to make is fine.  id like to keep them small though.  so no bigger than 2 or 3 inches.  would love animals both real and imagined, people, fairies, dwarves, etc... would also love trees, caves, etc...these can be bigger (please no polymer clay, not sure how i feel about aria playing with it for health reasons, thanks!)  (Thanks Padfoot for the piggies!

Hi, Im Kirsten, Im a full time student. I live in New Zealand, married with two teenaged stepsons and two spoilt cats. Art and craft keep me somewhat saner than I would be otherwise.

I like most colours, and particularly blue/green/teal/aqua, natural tones, or black and white. See my profile or my wist for more ideas about my taste. Im happy to chat, and easy to please, feel free to PM me if you want to know more.

Since I live far, far away, I do appreciate craftsters being willing to send to me. I have tried to keep my wishlist items small and light. Thank you!!

** I have altered and added to several items on my list **

* a Tea and Cake or Death? tea cosy (Eddie Izzard quote) Id prefer sewn (stencilled/appliqu/embroidered/whatever), rather than knitted
* handmade sketchbook/journal (unlined if possible, mixed/recycled papers are great) (- thanks puzzler!! Smiley I love to use my sketchbooks, so I am keeping this on the list for now)
* handmade kirsten stamp, or handmade stamps in a theme I like (see my profile)
* a pockety bag lots of different size pockets for projects/art supplies, any style or size, doesnt have to have any zippers
* a Star Trek or Doctor Who thingy, whatever you like to make, my faves are Spock, tardis and daleks. (Useful rather than decorative is usually my preference, but any Spock, tardis, or dalek item that lands in my letterbox will find a home)
* a tardis pockety bag would be truly awesome
* a fox or a British robin in your favourite craft medium (again, great if its useful, but not essential)
* handknitted wool socks (average womens size, any colour)
* hand dyed/hand spun yarn (prefer natural fibres, any colour you think looks good)
* stitch markers for knitting
* postage stamp pendant
* something embroidered (hand or machine, a panel for me to make into something, or a finished item basically, anything you think I might like!)
* handmade ceramic item, esp. in celadon green keep it small and affordable to mail. (I would love a little fox like the one on my wist)
* wisty surprise - http://wists.com/jemimah

* real silk for embroidery, any colours this is my big wish, its hideously expensive where I live (its probably not that cheap where you live, but I bet its cheaper than here!). I am addicted to Soie d'Alger (made by Au Ver Soie). If you send me some, I will also send you a tiny pretty made with it by way of extra thanks. Smiley
* any interesting embroidery supplies (please stick with quality over quantity, Id much rather have a tiny envelope with a few lovely skeins/little things than lots of cheap floss/beads, and it's also cheaper for postage!) The sort of stuff I like is DMC, anything silk or linen, Au Ver Soie, Japanese stuff, bits for goldwork (purl, kid, etc.), handmade/hand dyed, quirky things. Vintage/recycled is great.  No Aida please.
* silk or embroidered fabric, Japanese fabric (just small bits for embroidery and tiny things; no bulk fabric Id love it, but it may bankrupt you to mail it)
* Noro yarn, recycled sari yarn
* thick stampcarving material (I have the tools, but the only stuff to carve I can easily find here is lino and small erasers)
* vintage Anna magazines (either English or German) these might be pricey to ship so just 1 or 2 is fine
* nice paper - e.g handmade, japanese, printmaking, textured, any colour or weight - it's for printmaking, so plainish rather than very patterned - but whatever you think is nice would be great (just a few pieces)
* paper ephemera

* small black safety eyes (just a few pairs)
* I always enjoy bookmarks, vintage/interesting buttons, little pouches, etc.
* please keep it light and easily posted! no candy

NB. New Zealand has tough biosecurity at the border. This is very unlikely to apply to this swap, but just in case ... Please dont send natural materials (feathers, leaves, wood, seeds e.g. lavender, etc.) Everything on my list is absolutely fine to send, but PM me if youre unsure about something. Thanks  Smiley

I claim Jemimah for Noro Yarn and a couple of extras.

This is my first claim, 0 outstanding, 0 in transit, 0 received.

Hi my name is Nat, I live in Canberra, Australia. I have 2 little kiddies, Megan is 5 years old and Elliot is turned 1 this year.

I love to craft but my main passion is crochet novelties. Im the type of person who gets a kick out of crochet sushi rolls and cherry pie potholders Smiley

My favourite time of the year is Christmas, so most of the items on my list are Christmas related, but in saying that my family also celebrate 5 birthdays the week before Christmas (including mine on the 21st Cheesy) so we take our Christmas celebrations pretty serious Cheesy

Crafts I would love Smiley

Christmas ornaments I have a serious addiction to Christmas ornaments from the felted ornament to the beaded chandelier, hanging to seated. If it is a handmade ornament - I will love it promise.

A Christmas Angel for the top of my tree - I love handmade and I would love a handmade Angel Cheesy
Christmas Decorations a garland, wall hanging, welcome sign. Anything really.
Christmas bags / gift bags any size
Christmas gift tags, cards or CD wallets.
A set of hair bands or clips for a 9 month old baby girl, the type that is more like baby fascinators then everyday hair clips. Whites or Pinks would be lovely.  This will be a gift for my niece who has a gorgeous amount of hair (unlike my daughter at the same age: P)
Anything Super Mario Brothers that would be suitable for a 5 year old boy. My nephew is Super Mario crazy and he will be one of the birthdays at Christmas time Smiley

DK Cotton 100% cotton. Cotton is so hard to find over here. I dont mind what colours but currently I have sky blue and latte brown, so maybe a colour other than those Smiley
Fuse beads or Perler bead patterns or kit for my daughter, she currently has a small square, circle and heart as well as a large square and circle.
Christmas Amigurumi patterns. I really like the skiing snow man or woodland Santa from this etsy store http://www.etsy.com/shop/bvoe668?section_id=6443571
But in saying that, something like these would be great Smiley

Postcards I love to get postcards from my swap partners Smiley

Pop tarts chocolate fudge it used to be called. They no longer sell Pop tarts in Australia the only way to get them are to order them in. But the ones I love are the chocolate pastry with chocolate inside and chocolate icing on top. I dont have them often as the USA shop here only sells them in their individual packet (2 pastries) and they are $$$$ expensive. So I thought given that I see a lot of US crafters here perhaps one could send some my way Cheesy

I claim NatAct for a Christmas package ( That's vague I know, but its 6:30 am so I can't make decisions on exactly what I'm doing.  It will be a combo of craft and supply)

This is my 6th claim, 2 outstanding, 3 rec'd

My name is Teresa.  I am a native Georgian (seems there aren't many of us around here anymore) who lives a little north of Atlanta.  I've been married to the same wonderful guy for almost 30 years.  We have 3 grown "kids" and still have 2 at home while they finish their educations ( one last year of bachelors, one in grad school ).  We have lived in the exact same spot our entire marriage and its the only home my kids know.  We share our little homestead with one cow, one mini donkey, 3 mini goats, and 6 cats.  I've taught pre-school for 17 years and can't imagine doing anything else.  I love my life and I love myself and I'll admit I don't have a lot of patience for moaners and whiners.  Those people probably just need to craft something.

- A camera bag for my Nikon DSLR (i can provide measurements) - something in fun colors/patterns with a strap that goes over my shoulder - maybe with a pocket or two so it could double as a purse haha
- Fabric/reusable lady pads (i got some a few rounds ago and could use more!)
- this is random but a tea-stirrer (maybe an old vintage swizzle stick or tea spoon?) with a decoration on top - a polymer clay tea cup, anything! I want to try to stop using those wooden disposable ones at work
- A small valance curtain for my cube at work - i can provide measurements and colors!
